Wild West for Airsoft?
« on: May 08, 2014, 07:53:53 PM »
Can anyone tell me what Wild West is like for Airsoft? I'm seeing a conspicuous lack of info on their website about how many/what types of fields and games are available there.

Well to be fair Wild West still Mainly cater for paintballers and are new to airsoft so usually when there is a group of airsofter's they will assign a ref to us and we are usually the ones to decide what kind of rules and games we play. So of course the basic rules still apply there such as eye pro 400 fps for aeg's on .20s etc. Now i know recently lyntec airsoft (i think thats what they are called) on saturdays go out and take over the airsofters like a organizer and organizes the games and rules. Wild West technically have 3 fields for airsoft but the largest one and another is put together most of the time. Again games are usually up to us and thats like team deathmatch but if we  want objective games its up to us if we want to do that. I say go out there an try it out its one of my top fields here. For $10 all day and no bb restrictions such as bio only or buying their own the place is great value plus it being a closer such as vangaurd distance rather than driving 2 hours to get to adobe or fighter town is a plus too.  the fields are pretty good and with fightertown and their helicopters, wild west has their boats and their staff is pretty friendly too. to get a view of what the fields look like you should check their facebook page.

Thanks man, that was super helpful!

What's the turn-out usually like? If I were to go by myself, would I be sitting around do you think?

well i dont know about night games and sunday cause i only go on saturdays but turn out is ok again since its new to airsoft. i heard highest was like 38 but usually when i go turnout is about maybe about 8-12 or so and thats from 8am to 2pm ish and idk after that if the group dies out or not. Id just bring a friend just in case but if you are going yourself id say try to go on saturdays in the mornings or ten ish maybe (from my experience) is probably your best bet in finding people.

I'm at Wild West about two times a month. 8-12 players on average. They're under new management and the place is being refurbished. The new owners told me they're building a new field this fall/winter in the back of the property just for airsoft.

Field 1 - Wild West town
Field 2 - Has props to hid behind
Field 3 - Trenches and kill house

$10 a day is a great bargain for a sanctioned field. IMHO

Yes the turnout is on average 60 airsofters every Saturday. LynchTec Airsoft is only there Saturdays and holidays, but bbs are still available and airsoft still goes on on Sunday. Night games are mainly in the summer. Check out the Facebook page if you have anymore questions.
