Younger airsofters
« on: June 15, 2007, 02:09:57 AM »
Is any younger airsofters (14-18ish) interested in going to/helping to go a game up north? I'm trying to set a camp out game somewhere with my group, and some other teams/people.  If anyone wants to help/or go to it, let me know. Also if you have any place(s) that you know of that  are really good airsoft at up north, let me know. We just got sick of the desert terrain, and are wanting to switch it up for once. Just wondering though. Trying to ask around.

Your idea while noble i believe will not work. You really cant set up a young airsoft group/team without the help of adults. First if people get injured who will take responsiblity. And what about getting people there. Kids cant drive. Im not trying to demoralize you. Just plan it out better. If you want to camp out and airsoft you really should get a few 21+ that are willing to take responsiblity. A wavier wont save you if you just wrote it up and think it will just work. Just a heads up. I hope all goes well for you and your young team.

We have adults going to be there, which means cars. Also, we have some older players too (ages 18, 19 and 22), so more cars, and supervision. Waivers? Hey, they sign it and know what they're doing, then I'm pretty safe. They're coming for themselves man. And, why does everyone think that if you're 14, 15m or 16, that you're going to get hurt or kill yourself if you go somewhere.  It's really not that hard to stay out of danger, and I think we can comprehend with that. We're not dumb-little-kids as some people think. So yea, I got it all set up, I just need  a place, date, and the man power.

(Please don't post anymore negative things you want to say to demoralize this idea. Just PM me that crap. Keep on topic. Post if you're interested in the idea.)

Understand that in the past the kids in this forum havent made a good impression by the way the speak and act.

If i made a waiver saying im not responsible for pushing you off a bridge and i do it im not liable then? Do you own the land or have permission to stay there? waivers dont work if its on illegal property.

But hey if you can do it then thats all good.

Yes, I understand. But you must know what people say/type is different then te way they'd act. You think I'm immature kid trying to do the impossible at my age. I could do it if I have the right stuff.

That's funny. Mines doesn't say anything about bridges though. It says basically, play at your own risk, we're not responsible for you if something happens(you did it), we'll help, but are not responsible, and have fun. It's not that hard to fallow those things. People have signed it no problem before so yea.

And again, I need a place to go to. That's what this is for. I don't have one now, I'm asking if anyone knows of a good place to go to. I of course(duh?) will ask the land owners if it's ok to play there. How dumb can you be to not ask that. Common sense? Ok, no more of this crap. Please PM me if you want to talk about this more. Thank you sir.

This is a public forum. If you're all about this PM business, why didn't you PM me from the start?

When did I call you immature? I never said it was impossible, only going to be very hard.

I used a bridge as a example you obviously missed. I read your so called wavier and it is flawed.

Don't cop a attitude with me. If you read what is said I was trying to give you constructive criticism.

Forums, of course, but I this one we're only going back and forth with you and me, haha. Why don't we just PM then? Oh well.

I know you didn't, and I 'm not trying to make you sound like a jerk, but  people on here say younger kids are. It'll be hard, but that's the what happens when you try to get 26 people to go up north miles and miles away. That's why I'm looking for help with people who can come and help me set it up.

haha, I got the joke. I was making fun of you or giving you lip, I'm sorry if it seemed that way. I'm just talking normal, so yea. No big I got the constructive criticism, and I'm talking it for the info it is.

I think the waiver works, and has been working. That's my business though.

You gotta understand most young people on this site has pissed off alot of people. Ill stop crapping up your thread. It hasn't been that long ago when I was that young so its not like I don't see where you are comming from. I wish you good luck. My advice is go get a person with a commercial drivers licence and raise money for a goverment owned school bus thats going out of retirement. That would be intresting. only problem is getting into the wooded areas. Again good luck. /end
