Yuma Airsoft Op. coming soon
« on: March 10, 2010, 08:37:32 PM »
Here is the plan. The first weekend in May we will be having an organized milsim event here in Yuma. I'm hoping for a good turn out and planning the event for such. There will be no entry fee and hopfully door prizes. The planning has begun and there are already 5 missions, with maps still in the works. Keep an eye out for the official thread within a week or two where you can RSVP. Any questions or suggestions PM me.

dont worry we will keep all informed just keep checking the forum for the yuma op, and yes the stuff that Ghillieman and myself (mostly Ghillie) have talked about is going to be off the hook. Both of us are ex military, Ghillie was marine and I was Army Infantry for 8 years and I know my shit.

The area I'm looking it is 1.25-1.5 miles in circumference. A large area with good natural boundries. There are flat lowlands with plenty of cover, hills with some caves, a canyon, and an old cement structure affectionately named 'the castle'. There is a lenty room to park and I'm going to try and bring a grill. Stay tuned fore more....

Ghillie, I will be looking into purchasing event  tent type structures for shade and break/reload areas this weekend. Also may I suggest having a team meeting about hosting this event once more concrete plans have been made. Also... BONUS... Dez has agreed to professionally photograph the event for us for free :)

It should also be noted that thr area that ghillie is speaking of may require 4X4 to reach.

Not true. I have been there in a 2 wheel drive plenty of times. However it was muddy this last time and the roads were a bit muddy. This time should be a lot better. It's usually done raining by May so we should be in good shape. If a problem does arise with the road situation I will let everyone know and make preperations to make sure everyone gets to the field.

P.S. Even if the roads are muddy a front wheel drive car should make it ;)
