The race was against the heat, and there's NEVER a DPS unit on that stretch. I go a million fuckin' miles an hour down it every single time...ask D.Bo.

Sorry that you got lost Chip, you shoulda mentioned something at the M&G...I had no idea. Unforunately, nobody could stop and wait since three people had been to the AO prior to today, and David and Matt were in the lead car, and I was in the second car in case they missed the turn off.

Hope breakfast was good.

Reading the post by Mooncruiser who said he was doing 65 and lost sight of the caraven........Well The few games I have went to, I experianced the same sort of thing. What IS IT that causes the leaders to get in their cars and drive like mario andretti heading for a local greasy italian pizza joint?

You all need to realize that some people don not have a clue as to where the A/O is at, and .....AND//...dont drive at 90.

I personally an gald I did not get up early to go there, because I too would have been on a motorcycle, and I too would have driven at 90 to get to the A/O.

And, I second MoonCruiser on the FACT that DPS just LOVES to radar that section of roadway.

Food for though

Vince, you can't drive reasonably because the heat in October's end might go up a half degree otherwise?

At 65 mph, I wasn't exactly driving a minibike. Nate.

Dennis is right.  Why drive like jerks? This does seem to happen with some of you.

Well. that said, on to the next game.

Chip, it was REALLY hot during the game, of course, you do not know this, because you were not there.

I didn't mean we drove real fast on the way out there, I mean, just on the way back or when by myself, I do. I didn't lead the convoy, David did, and we went about 75 the whole time. I find it interesting that nobody had a problem except for the dirtbike, which, like I said, should have been mentioned ahead of time. If you knew it was going to happen, why not come prepared?

FWIW, you could have ridden with me.

I apologize to everyone because I was late.  If I had been there at the M&G, I would have made it a point to ensure everyone knew where the AO was at, and that we all made it TO the AO from the Baja.

That said, if you don't know where the AO is, I'd make it a point to keep up with the lead vehicle!

Thanks again to TheRev for running the show.  He and I were the organizers for this game, and since I was late he had to run it alone until I showed up.  Seeing as though everyone had a great time (except for a few complaints from those who didn't even attend), I'd say he did a great job.

Thanks, Curtis! 8)

For sure, Christian. It was great to see Curtis back in action and he did his usual quality job of briefing and oversight. Welcome back, Curtis!
And you're right, Christian we should have had a tail guard like we've done before to make sure everyone got there. I wasn't aware that anyone was riding a bike or we could have solve that one of the ways Vince mentioned.  We'll do better next time. Sorry, Chip.

I only have one complaint. Goes as follows, I was 10ft. from an enemy, tried to get him to surrender but he couldnt hear me and couldnt see me since I was behind him. That's not a problem, well actually it's my problem....  But anyways, he got hit by a round and called himself out, perfect! But here is what gets me. He then sees me and as he is starting to make his way down the rocks he is trying to signal to his buddy just 20ft. below him, waving his thumb in my direction. Fortunately the other guy thought he was talking about someone else and as soon as the dead guy moved out of my line of fire, I shot the signal receiver. I witnessed this all within 25-30ft, I dont remember who the guy was who did this and it doesn't matter as long as a lesson is learned. But just to point it out for anyone else who does not know, Generally when you are dead, you don't give out enemy locations verbally or by any other means

On a happier note. Indeed, it was a very good site to see Curtis out there again.  And props to him for getting the game organized!  Thanks again Curtis!

Oh and Woody. Im glad that your wife's X5 was alright and that it was just garbage bag! :)

Thanks for the props folks. It truly was good being back again. I was away for far too long. I enjoyed the game play out there. From my general observations, it appeared to me as though everyone conducted themselves as professionals. It was good seeing a large crowd. Thanks to Christian for finally showing up. You had a valid excuse... this time. I look forward to seeing ya'll more and more as time goes on. Playing this weekend reminded me how much I love this hobby.

With this being my first airsoft game ever, i had a great time, until my BB drum got jacked up in the second match.  I especially loved the part where tans regen point got moved about 4 times during the first game.  anyway, it was a great time and worth the 3 1/2 hour drive to get there.   Thank for the frags guys.

PS  (Next OP needs to be near tucson)

Ryan, that's classified info! If that ever got back to Linda, well, it would be awful! (Heh, heh).

:? Wasn't that hot actually.  Kinda a nice breeze.

But yeah, I've been to a couple of airsoft games now, and I'm noticing the same thing many of you are; the people leading the convoys almost always drive like a bat out of hell.  Me and Python had to speed like mad just to catch up to the convoy and keep them in sight.  Maybe we should consider driving at a reasonable rate of speed next time, make sure everyone is cool and together?

I will say though, it was a hell of a fun game.  I felt like an idiot, because I forgot the battery for my SR4 at home, so I had to borrow a cheapo MP5 and spring shotgun, which meant I had either a range of like 40 feet, or a slow rate of fire.  Still, I had fun, and everyone was really cool.  I particularly like the shootout tan had with one of their own guys, before we all realized we were on the same team.  Sounded like a good few hundred bbs shot, and no one was hit  ;)

I had a blast! Got to see some familiar faces, and meet some new ones at the same time. I did tear out the knee of my pants on one of those jagged boulders in the hills, but it was worth it. I felt alot better in the second game due to the fact that I didnt have to walk back down the hill with my 20 pound rifle every time I got hit. But never the less, I had a great time. But to say the least, it was more than worth the drive up. Ill probably be making that drive much more often now too!. :)
