Without offense, what you just said doesn't make real sense. Like, a tightbore will augment the effects of your hopup, but they're two different things. There is no upgraded hopup for the G&G SOC16 but you could put a different bucking in it.

Post by: Vince on January 25, 2007, 09:53:32 PM: It'll need new gears, the piston will shit the bed later on in life, prepare for the trigger to be crunchy, sometimes mushy, don't count on being able to get any decent standard mags, don't get bothered when it tears your cutoff lever up kicking down from full auto to semi, et cetera.

I know some about M14s in airsoft and I really like the TM one I have. It's the nicest gun I've ever owned.

I honestly can't tell the different between Deepfire @ $7, King Arms @ $12 and Tokyo Marui @ $22 except for the TMs have the nicest, strongest springs and are effected by detritus the least.

G&P makes a midcap. I have one, if you wanna buy one, like, $10? Never been used. Has an X in sharpie on the bottom, but you can't tell unless you're looking.

I decided to go with only marui mags only because i like to keep it as milsim...ish as possible.

and personally, I like the fact that they are metal, that's worth the extra cash for me.

Also, you may want to look at the new CA M14s coming out. No release date (possibly summer or fall I), but if they're in keeping with the quality of their recent releases, they should kick ass.

Post by: Vince on January 26, 2007, 12:59:53 AM: It's my opinion of the CA M14 Scout that the TM is already full metal, so, why bother with the CA? It'll be a copy of the TM, I think...but everything's already done right with this gun. Who knows, though.

Insofar as TM vs CA, I think TM wins pretty much every time. TM S-System vs CQB-R, based solely on performance, I pick S-System. CQB-R wins because you can hold a huge battery, it's metal, and it doesn't have a goddamn hideous SIR on it, even though the S-System has the nicer hop-up.
