I think he means www.airsplat.com (http://www.airsplat.com) ...  if so, they're a great company.

airsplat is good to go.

ICS sucks, unless you mean Idema Commando Systems, which I HIGHLY doubt. [:P]  I used one a couple times, and will never do so again!  Not even as a loaner.

ARMALITE ICS MP5 A4 VERSION 3.5?  I didn't know they were putting Armalite trades on MP5's?

I bought a ICS MP5A4 3.0 from airsplat a little while back.  It shot a little hotter out of the box than my TM AK.  Quick, good service.  But then, I live in Kali.  I've bought a lot of stuff from airsplat without any problems.

I should probably mention that my tappet plate just broke on my two month old ICS CAR97M4 after about 6000 BBs.

About the only real issue I have with ICS/AE guns are the tappet plates.  Seems that's all I really hear about going bad on these guns.  I had an AE MP5A5 version 2 a couple years back that was one of the few we were field testing for Chase before he decided to become a dealer for them.  Mine did the same thing, broken tappet plate after less than a bag of BB's.  I put a new Systema tappet plate in and it was fine after that.

According to a poster on another site, the systema tappet plate won't fit properly on the ICS M4.  I wonder why the systema fits on the ICS MP5 and not the M4?  The recommended replacement for the ICS M4 is the ICS MP5 tappet plate.  Sumtin ain't right.

It may have something to do with the different type of hopup unit on the ICS Ollies.

The ICS M4 has a split gear box and must use a different style tappet plate since normally the MP5's and M4's use the same unit in the TM and CA lines.  The Systema tappet plate is for a normal Version 2 gear box and not the new ICS two piece box.

Harley, the standard tappet plate for the ICS MP5 (version 2 gearbox) is the one recommended for the ICS CAR97 M4 at this time by SD.

The only explanation I can come up with is that there isn't a proper tappet replacement out for the ICS M4 and the only one that is even close is the ICS MP5 tappet plate.  Of course, if the systema tappet plate is a good match for the ICS MP5 tappet plate, why won't it work fine for the ICS M4 if the ICS MP5 tappet plate works well on the ICS M4?  If the hopper is different, wouldn't that mean the ICS MP5 tappet plate wouldn't work either?

Of course it could be that the systema tappet plate DOES work fine for the ICS M4 and the guy who said it didn't was wrong.

Or have I killed too many brain cells?

This has my attention.  I'm curious as to why.  Of course, examination of the ICS M4 tappet would quickly resolve any questions...

Heh, really.  Unfortuantely, mine is broken.  When I get the ICS tappet plate, I'll try to piece together the broken one and see how closely they match.

Can you post a picture of it and maybe of the mech box as well?  I'd like to see what the whole thing looks like.

I came across this piece of info.

"On the ICS M4, the tapplet plate is the "weakest link" in that if you do not release the spring tension by using the forward-assist before you crack the upper receiver open, its piston will fly forward breaking the tapplet plate right off."

I have played airsoft for about 4 months now and decided it was time for me to get a AEG, right now my main weapon is a G 26c which is pretty reliable, but anyways back to my topic, i was thinkin about something powerfull, easy to carry, all in all just a good gun for a good price,(tell me how many times you have heard someone say that? lol) i found the mp5 a4 at www.sirsplat.com (http://www.sirsplat.com) and thought that it was a good deal and was just looking for other peoples opinions.
