does anybody know how reliable vfc guns are... i am looking into one of their ak variants, and are wanting some feedback first.  I know their BAR is a beast, but not sure otherwise.

From what I have heard is that they seem to be a much better company now. AEX says that the company seems to have its act together. They seem to like all the newer stuff thats been put out.

I have handled one of their AKs and they seem damn awesome.  Shooting was pretty smooth but I was just playing with it during a break in the action.

I should be getting their new SCAR in the mail today, so hopefully I can get back to you on the quality of it, but its supposed to be great.

VFC are considered the "higher end" of AEGs, more along the vanity, high-price range than CA or TM.

From my experience with the 416 (which is decent externally), the internals were top notch.  The 416s problem to me was its externals, which were good, but the Hurricane kit is better.

You might have to sell a kidney for the Hurricane kit though. VFC is a good company and I'm currently looking at getting a 416 for a friend.

Very true about the Hurricane kit.  But it is far superior, I was left feeling something missing about the VFC, and last I checked, its not a "true" looking HK416 variant.  It is expensive, but not as expensive as the Hurricane Kit sure.

This is it here:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=1612

It can be bought by part too, but buying it together is cheaper.

I just purchased that BAR, and it is quite the beast indeed from the reviews I have read.  (still waiting for it's arrival this week).

Aside from that, I spoke with a guy at evike.com about VFC, and he said it's basically the best of the best in most cases.   They have their guns down to a science, and they try their best to match them to the real steel in every possible aspect.

I was a huge CA and TM fan, but I have recently learned that even those 2 companies cannot match the quality of the VFC products...  very encouraging words to hear, especially with how much that BAR sets ya back.   Well worth it though.

Don't know if you are new to the sport or new to the forums Bubba, but don't trust a word Evike says.

VFC is good don't get me wrong (the SCAR which I just got is one the best Airsoft rifles I have handled so far), but Evike is not a source in which to trust your information on.
