General Off-Topic Discussion / Battlefield 2
« on: May 04, 2005, 08:08:04 PM »
This is the newest game from EA following its best seller Battlefield 1942. Unlike the original which was based in the European and Pacific Theaters of war in World War 2. Battlefield 2 is based in the middle east during the times of the war on terror. Letting you take your fight with many different weapons including such features as:

    *  Online multiplayer action with up to 64 players on the PC.
    * All-new gameplay engine brings the immense locations to life complete with realistic physics and dynamic lighting.
    * Maps scale to the number of players engaging in battle for a unique and intense experience every time.
    * Take control of over 30 land, sea, and air vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, hovercraft, fast attack vehicles, and fighter jets.
    * Choose to battle as U.S., Chinese, or Middle East Coalition troops, each with their own unique arsenals.
    * A variety of soldier classes including Assault, Sniper, Special Ops, Combat Engineer, Medic, Heavy Weapons, and Anti-Tank units.
    * New state-of-the-art weapon systems, including wire-guided missiles and laser designated bombs.
    * Material penetration feature makes sure players know the difference between cover and concealment.
    * Character Persistence and Growth. With in-game success, players increase their rank from recruit all the way to General and unlock new weapons, medals, and more.
    * Join a squad or select the new Commander Mode to assume the strategic role of a battlefield commander directing his forces.
    * Full in-game community support including, buddy lists, stat tracking, live chat rooms, and in-game clan creation.
    * Voice over IP supported with headset.

*Takin from Battlefield 2 offical website registed TM of EAgames and DICE entertainment*

I am a fan of all of the battlefield games and plan to get this one.

AEG's / Version 6 Gearbox
« on: April 26, 2005, 09:38:43 PM »
I was thinking about getting a Thompson and was wondering about the Version 6 gearbox.  After a while of searching, and wonding what I got myself into. I decided to ask the questions to the Gearheads here at AA.(yes I know some of this is in the Thompson AEG thread). So please no flames.

Is there upgrade part around?

Can it be upgraded to around 380-400 and still be relieable in the field?

Does JungleToy carry these parts?

Could I get a different version gearbox like a 2 or 3?

Also anyone here a true expert through and through on V.6? If so could you PM.

Gas Powered Guns / USP problems help!
« on: March 26, 2005, 08:35:07 PM »
Ok so i was running a few rounds through my USP today. and it started to make a rattling sound, I though nothing of it until 4 shots later it stayed cocked in a 3/4 cocked position. So i figured maybe a bb's miss feed, I tilted it downword to clear the BB and notice the brass inner barrel is sticking out the front. Me not being an "Expert" had no clue what to do so i went inside and take the slide off. Like one would do for normal cleaning a lubing (This is not the first time I have done this). So I try and find out how to fix it, but have no clue how to go about doing it. Then i happen to relize the trigger pull is extremely hard. And the safe catch isnt work(the safety level just spins around). Thanks in advance to anyone can help. If worst come to worst I'll just have to make a trip to JT on tuesday. Here are some pictues, Thanks again.

                                     Ethan,
