Ok first of all i have a toystar sr-16. The problem is that when i pull back on the charging handle it wont bo back forward. it just stays in the same place.

It almost seems like there is no spring to pull the handle back into place.
I am also letting you guys know that it wont fire when it does this.

The place where the spring locks on may have cracked off, or the spring may be stretched out. It's a springer, those things aren't too durable. Take it to JT, maybe they can fix it.
-
Its a springer, what did you expect?
-
Im gonna take it to JT soon. I knew that it would break. but the only things that are avaliable to me are springers. My friends wouldnt play with me if i used an AEG.
-
Then get the best springer you can I suppose.
(Don't worry about people giving you grief for owning a springer, I have one too) ;)
-
this is one of the best springers. I can easily pick off targets roughly 150 ft away.
-
Why don't your buddies like AEGs? Can't afford them?
-
they think that they are cheap. they think that if I have basically a full auto version of their guns that it will give me an unfair advantage.

It would.

I agree. I think some people dog on springers too much. We all started out with em.
-
Hell I got 3 springer pistols....... anybody want to buy em? I know wrong post... ;)
Seriously I think most of us started out with springers.
-
You haven't lived until you skirmish with a springer.

I agree, five of my friends and I started out with springer and I still cary a springer sidearms on the field. It's funny to see the look on someones face when they get nailed with a springer.

I started out with a Glock 26c. Never owned, or shot a springer in almost 4 years of airsofting, now.
I don't think you'll get too many helpful hints here.. hardly anyone knows about springers. But if you can, good for you.

Ok. I know what is wrong. there is a small spring that pulls the handle back into place that broke. I am going to get it fixed and also put a m100 spring into it :). tell me if this is a good idea or not.

That's because springers are pretty much disposable. The way you usually fix a springer is to buy a new one, unless you figure out a way to do it with super glue or something.
Ya, springers can be fun for new people that don't want to invest a ton of money. However, they are cheap plastic things and will eventually break. When they do, hopefully you've already moved on to bigger and better things.

Probably not.

I used to skirmish with a buddy of mine when I first started. He had an Mp5 AEG and I had a Super 9 Pro springer, tell your friends to get over it. I went to two of three 10-15 people games with my springer before I bought my AEG. Playing like that is great experience, its a good way to learn that 1 shot should be all it takes. Plus it feels great to kill someone with an AEG when all you've got is a springer.

Speaking of springers, Chris.... ;)

Yeah, I find no fun in "spray & pray".
-
well springer are great but if you have ever shot the classic army m15 springer you will fall in love with springer all over again. If you need a springer and have 150 bucks to blow its a awsome gun.

Anything past $5 is a waste on a springer..hell $5 is a waste, because for that much I can buy myself a few hundred bb's. The only springers That are worth their money are sniper rifles...Those you usually have to spend $600+ on to make them very accurate, which sucks.
