M9, gas gun just spits out the bb...
« on: June 18, 2005, 10:43:34 PM »
I've loaded the clip to the brim, and filled up the gas until it sprays back. I fire, and the bb rolls down the barrel. Then, when i take out the clip, 3-4 bb's fall out loose after it. If anyone can help me or direct where the problem is maybe, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Ok. first thing, how old is it?
Because if its a brand new gun, then its not supposed to do this and maybe you can still cash in on your warranty. If you have had this gun for some time, then it can probably be more easily explained.

Also, what brand is it?
Some brands have notorious problems that are easier than others to spot and diagnose.

It would also help if you can explain your steps of operating the gun in more detail. Becaue it may just be that you're doing somthing that the gun disagrees with.

My guess is that the loading of the magaznie to its max is making the gun strip multiple rounds, and chambering more than one and rolling the excess one out of the barrel. This happens to my 1911a1 when I try to squeeze one more round into the mag. So try putting at least one less bb in the mag than you are able to shove in. And make sure that the follower (thing that is pushing against the bottom BB) can still be pushed down at least the length of one BB.

I hope this helps!

the problem is most likely with the spring guide it locks it self and creates a double feed; what you need to do is reposition it in to fit properly. if not the hammer set is f'ed up in which case buy anonter gun.

Stop posting so damn fast and much, slow down and try to use puncuation and not sentances that run on for 2 hrs. Head over to the newbie topic and post something about yourself if you haven't already.

If it's a KSC/KWA, then it usually does drop a few BB's when you remove the magazine. A buddy of mine had one, and it did the same thing to him. As for the BB rolling out, check the hop-up bushing. This can be found on the breech end of the barrel, right where the BB sits as it's first chambered (made of black rubber). Either it's too greasy, it's not turned up high enough, or is broken.

my TM tac master just started doing something similar last weekend.. you shoot and it acts like its firing like normal only nothing comes out the barrel and then a bb just rolls out the barrel and hits the ground... recoils and everything like normal..

look at the piece that is responsible for chambering the round, there was a chip taken out of mine, which wasnt sealing properly with the bb.. it would load the bb, but wasnt making a good seal.

replace that most likely and should be in business.

i have 1, my m9 does the same thing, its b/c of the design of the mag, when u take it out it always drops a few, u should just make sure that its out of bbs b4 taking it out, about it rolling down the barrel, i think ur mag may have a really big leak or u rnt filling it up enough, and dont use 134a for it r it wont work 2 well, make sure u hold the gas in for about 6 seconds, if that doesnt work u have a really bad leak which may be do 2 a bad o ring in the mag, or maybe its just the spring is out of place(try the 1st thing i said, if that doesnt work i can give u steps on how 2 fix mag if thats the prob)
