Accessories & Gear / Re: shotgun scabbard question

That's what I was afraid of. Any suggestions on something else? It would be carried with a UMP on a one point sling.

Accessories & Gear / shotgun scabbard question
« on: December 09, 2014, 05:25:21 PM »
So I'm looking to get some gear and I have a question for anyone with this shotgun here: http://www.airsoftgi.com/mobile/product_info.php?products_id=3132

My question is whether this shotgun will fit in the scabbards that are also on that site despite having no stock. Or if anyone has a better idea for carrying it as a secondary.

Depends on where exactly you are moving vs. how far you're willing to go. There are a few great areas just out there that won't cost. I know of 2 near me. I'm sure up north has all the space in the world with all them woods.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: Steel Rain Airsoft Team

Yeah, I know these dudes, although I haven't played them much. I think their OPLAN is to use grease-like penetration of your six, and following jackhammer assaults to your rear area.
They keep pushing, pushing ever close to your Command structure.  Then, if all goes smmothly, your tatics will just turn to shit. -Game Over.
Watch these guys, Steel Rain are studs.
I'm sad that this won't fit in my sig. It's so damn hilarious.

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Re: GAME SCENARIOS!!!
« on: January 07, 2014, 07:53:19 PM »
I've seen some pretty awesome ideas in here, so let me try mine:

Scenario name: Operation Failing Light
Min Players: 10
Max Players: 14-20 (more if AO is big enough)
Scenario Details: Special Forces team consisting of 4 or 5 members (depending on max # of players) must infiltrate the mission area and take out a VIP, with extra objectives. Remaining players are the OpFor with one VIP.

SF team is given a satellite image of the AO, a short dossier on the VIP with a simple picture, and the option of where to start outside the AO. The team would have a team leader as well as a sniper, medic, and support gunner. The medic or team leader may take the role of grenadier if they have the equipment. The primary objective is to take out the VIP. Secondary objective is to find and extract a briefcase full of valuable intel. Tertiary objective is to extract a crate of valuable resources (water bottles for victory!). The second 2 objectives must be extracted to a pre-designated extraction site, and must hold that site for 5 minutes to win.

The OpFor will have 20 minutes to prepare, ie. set up patrol routes, hide the intel and resources, and assign any squads and whatnot. The VIP is in charge of this. They will have medics assigned as well (number depending on total OpFor numbers. 1:5 ratio) They should also have at least a couple snipers.

It is highly recommended that everyone have radios for this, especially the OpFor. No respawns, unless assisted by a medic. Medic rules: Player sits where shot. Medic must wrap a red rag around their arm. Each player gets one healing, then is dead permanently. If the medic goes down, they may heal themselves, but must wait a minute before getting up.

I'm new to coming up with scenarios, so I'm open for input on this. I came up with this with The Pit in mind.

I'm looking for players that live in or within (willing) driving distance of Casa Grande or Arizona City to join me and a couple friends on a somewhat regular basis for games. With enough people, we usually go to The Pit, but after one of our regulars moved away, another guy started being an asshole, and another lost interest, we find ourselves with a lack of people. Due to work schedules, we go once a month, always Saturdays, and usually at night, but we hope to do some day matches once the weather gets a little cooler.

We run with guns ranging from 330-420 (500+ for snipers), high caps are fine, and we try to keep game types varied, ie. CTF, FFA, and a few others we made up. Message me if you're interested in joining us!

Troubleshooting / H&K UMG barrel help
« on: August 20, 2013, 11:22:59 AM »
I just got the H&K UMG and am interested in putting on a suppressor eventually. However, the barrel is not threaded. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a threaded barrel or if there is a specific suppressor that just latches onto UMGs. Much appreciated.

An orange will not keep you from being handcuffed or shot by a cop they  will see a GUN  Orange tip or not  plain and simple.
Me and my friends have had cops called on us twice while airsofting. Neither of those times did any of us get shot or cuffed. One cop understood what they were immediately and said he even used to airsoft. The other cop stayed and refereed a game out of curiosity. You sound like you don't trust ANY police...
This post makes me angry.

Because you got the cops called on you, you obviously weren't playing somewhere appropriate and are risking your life.

My father is a detective for MCSO, and before that we was a patrolman for over a decade. He took one of my M4's into work with him one day, and everybody there looked at it, held it, shot it and messed around with it. Every one of them said if they pulled up on somebody holding this they would shoot them. Evil, you may have gotten lucky, but it's still not something you want to fuck around with. When I was a freshman in highschool, I almost got shot because of airsoft. This isn't a joke, or a matter of trusting the police. The police don't trust you. They never know who you are, why you have a gun, what your intentions are. So until they disarm you, and talk to you, they're going to have their guard up.

Ive had cops called on my over a dozen times in the last decade+ of airsoft and all but two were in places that were 100% legal, and the other two were poorly designated whether they were BLM or trust land.

Just because its legal to play there doesn't mean someone won't call the cops on you. Whether its legal to play somewhere or not, if they get a call that there are armed terrorists with ak-47 rifles loading up and preparing to assault the nuclear power plant, they're going to show up guns hot.

Yes, that was a real call that someone did on us back around 2004 or so when  we were out near the desert near MTT on BLM land that was 100% legal to play on. I don't even remember how many SUV's full of cops came for that call. Either way, we talked to them for about 3 minutes, they packed up and left, and we kept playing.
Admittedly the first time was our fault and in a bad spot, but we were new to airsoft, young, and stupid. The second time we were on an abandoned piece of land with a run down house on it and no visible indication of private property. Nuke is right. People will call the cops on anything that looks suspicious to them no matter where you are. Not everyone knows what airsoft is in the world, and it's likely those people that call cops on airsofters, orange tips or not.

I have personally heard better things about the JG S-System from at least a couple people. It's also about the same price on airsofgi.com. I haven't fired one, but I held it, and it felt pretty solid.
