Mile High Airsoft ~Prescott 8/28
« on: August 17, 2010, 07:44:09 PM »
This is a repost from TAC.
This is a NON TAC sanctioned game, and is being hosted by Mile High Airsoft.

*edit*
Since the majority of the players will be from MHA, we are changing the time frame of the game to our normal time and location.
We will be meeting at 10am, on the embry riddle campus:

Directions to campus from phx
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?doflg=pt ... a05ff65645

Actual meet point on campus
http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=h&ll= ... 044922&z=4

For liability reasons, we can only allow adults (18+) and 16+year olds (with a parent present at the field. If you have a non-parent willing to vouch for you, contact me first, this will be decided on a case by case basis.) to attend.

Schedule:
Keep in mind, this is a rough schedule. Only set time is the time we leave whatever point we start the caravan at.
10:00am - Meet up at rendezvous point (TBA)
10:15am - Caravan to field.
Afterwards... whatever people dictate is the timeline will be the timeline

The Game!
Pickup style and mini-scenario as determined day-of.

Objectives:

Vary as decided per game. Attack and defend, push the flag, capture the flag, force-force, escalation, and many more options will be available.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT:

FPS Limits:
-AEG: 1.6Joules or ~420fps with .20g bb
-Sniper (semi-only): 3.5Joules or ~ 617 fps with .20g bb *see below for sniper limitations*

Minimum Engagement Distance:
25ft for AEG’s and 75ft* for snipers. Within 25ft, players are expected to call either safety-kill or parley based upon the situation.
*Snipers must carry sidearms or a backup to use within 75ft. Snipers may NOT fire their primary weapon within 75 feet, and "Safety Kill" is NOT extended to 75 feet, however. That is why a sidearm is essential for snipers.

Hits:
All hits to your person or gear, no matter how minor, count as kills. The exception is gun hits to your primary, unslung weapon. If it is hanging or resting against you, or holstered, it is a kill.

Respawns:
For most games: Respawns will operate on the Rule of 3’s. You may respawn after you have been waiting at the designated respawn point for three minutes, or after you have assembled a group of three dead players at a respawn point, whichever comes first.

Further discussion of the rules will occur during the briefing.

-----------------------------------------------------

There is no fee for this game, and we are hoping for as many people to come as possible.

If you are interested in coming up and seeing what we have to offer, Post here and let me know if you want to come.
We're hoping for a large turnout... it should be good times for everyone, and a change of scenery from the Tucson and Phoenix games.

Current Roster
MHA (10+ confirmed so far)
B3ANZOR +1

Trees
Under 90 degree weather (for those of you looking to cool off)

Thanks for the endorsement. The more the merrier guys. Also, since there is always some confusion as to exactly where the site is, there will be a meetup/caravan from a location near Embry-Riddle (It's orientation week, so there will be lots of cars in our normal rendevous parking lot.)

The ao looks sweet. I wouldn't mind driving out there for a nice milsim game planned a little ahead of time and what not. Throw together milsims sound fun and I don't mind them but that's to far a drive for that. Keep me posted on some big event games and I'll keep my eyes open for those as well.

Also as a side note I love ur fps rules.

The FPS rules are TAC rules, not just ours. I realize it's a long drive for "throw together" games, as I drive to phoenix/tucson etc for the same type of games... only usually have to start before 7 or 8am because it's over 100 degrees by 10am.

It's looking like ~15 people if you bring 2 with you. We may have a few more or a few less, depending on people's moods tomorrow. :/
Airsofters are the most finicky group of people, after all.
