clarification on brands
« on: May 22, 2012, 10:55:48 PM »
Ok so I know some brands are good, like CA, TM, and I personally have had great experience with Echo 1. But some brands I'm unsure of. Mainly the ones that are lower priced. I don't know if they are low because they suck or because they just like making things good but cheap. Could someone tell me what brands are good and what to stay away from? I would much appreciate it.

GOOD BRANDS: VFC, KWA, TM, CLASSIC ARMY, G&P, ARES, KING ARMS, AND ANYTHING PRICED ABOVE THEIR PRICES.

BAD BRANDS: ANYTHING ACM (NOT INCULDING JG OR E1)

G&G and TSD are good for the price. When I say Anything ACM is bad I just mean that it's not the best but not the worst either. Just try to avoid AGM or D-boys. They aren't bad but stock they arent' that great either. Anything ACM that is above $100 and TM compatiable makes for a good upgrade gun.

ROFL.  Could you make that generalization any broader?

Initially when I typed that first response I was going to include what I said in my second post in that but due to laziness I didn't.

I'd disagree with that.  King Arms has proven that when you don't measure things properly (or at all) you can manage to make a product that won't even work properly with other products of your own.

I've had good experiences with CYMA. My metal CYMA mp-5 is very reliable, and I don't baby it. I've also owned a CYMA m14 and my friend has one of the full metal/wood CYMA AKs.

For price, the mp5 I bought refurbished at Gearbox for around $140 I think. The m14 was $120.

Echo1 is the Honda of airsoft.

How?  The are only as good as the OEM for the particular product you have.
