AEG's / Re: Suggestions for electric sniper?

Sneaky helps when you are playing somewhere that really allows for a sneaky mentality. I have found a lot of desert play just doesn't do it. Also I think it is a hell of a lot easier to sneak when you have a squad behind you, providing covering fire and a distraction. Without those two things I don't really consider sneaking an option, cause you just turn into a camping dickhead.

The AK mags are only really bad when you are trying to go prone or trying to carry a lot of them. I have considered doing an AK with a battle belt about 6 mags and a "suicide rig" for playing opfor. Throw on my camelback and some grenade pouches and I would seriously be set.

Baron for desert I personally prefer as much range as possible because you can see your enemy so far out it isn't even funny. For me that means the m14 (or similar weapon) that I can get low on some cover with. Plus the long barrel weapons really do allow for some harassing fire outside of shorter barrel's range which can really be used efficiently in a desert enviroment.

Haha. It's funny you say that because i do the same thing. It's funny how all the training and experiences you have by playing airsoft spill over into other aspects of your life.

For me it's the job spilling over into the rest of life. Part of what I do in the Navy is radio comms. I am very guilty of sweeping and clearing my barracks room and the hallways to and from the laundry room with my finger pointed out like a handgun. I hate to see the security footage from the cameras.

My gun also can't be built for $250. And it isn't allowed at many events.
M14's are good choices. AKs can be made to perform exceptionally well on the cheap too. Those two guns have hopups that work very well and are very adjustable, which is extremely important to long-range fire.

I will be the first to agree with axis and that a AK47/74 with a full length barrel makes for a very good extended range gun. My only complaint with them is that for going prone I find the AK mag to get in the way. I like my shorter M14 mags a hell of a lot more.

A big point for sniping and countersniping though is if you are playing desert/urban/etc because it influences what you are going to want. Personally I think that for CQB and such my M14 is one of the worst guns ever made and I will stick towards the back, however I wouldn't want a AK for desert play at all.

I like the m14 match length rifle for counter sniping and extended range shooting a lot. You can't have the full 500 fps that a lot of fields allow for snipers but when it comes to extended range shooting I have yet to find anything better. To be honest though it requires a move from "sniping" and to being a DMR, though I think airsoft favors DMRs over snipers anyway.

Strangely enough I am reading this as I am getting ready to be working on radios all morning. Go figure.

Everything looks to be correct, and pretty much only the applicable stuff. In my opinion radio is just like anything else, it just requires lots of practice. I find myself thinking in radio format when I am doing things like texting and sending email just because it is good practice.

Sticky this thread!

with my first post i was just asking a question about why do you let people bash people and i asked in a nice way then he said if you dont like it take my ass somewere else how do you not see that as aggresive?

Fine I will re-word it more eloquently if it will make you happy.

If you do not like the services offered here at Airsoft Arizona, it is your right as a human being to go elsewhere for a service as a replacement. You are not expected to maintain a presence on these semi-public forums to play, though those who give the most get the most. Should you find these forums to be unsatisfactory you may, again exercising your rights, leave these forums to seek out a enviroment more condusive to your thought process.

It says the same thing no matter how I say it, and I hate to say it but I cuss and talk shit with my friends more then I do other people. Ask RogueFox how many times I have told him to go fuck himself.

Nice isn't a guarantee, it is only an expectation.

listen man this is what  im talking about you dip s***  i understand you are probably 14 years old and your balls have not droped yet   but this is not a way to talk to people trust me  you have way to much aggression you need to find a way to grow up and be a big boy

14? Man I am in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, and I am offended that you think that I am being immature. Man it is just the simple fact of the matter, you don't run this place, therefore your opinion really doesn't matter. Come to terms with that, make useful posts, and enjoy what AA has to offer.

As far as the original content, most of these 'flames' you are reffering to could be solved if the original poster was somewhat coherent

exactly! Thank you man!

Dude you choose to be here, I don't keep you here. You CAN take your ass elsewhere if it really bugs you that much. I don't take you being nice as weakness, I just think you are wrong to believe you are entitled to "fair treatment" when this isn't a democracy. The mods have a service we like, and we play by THEIR rules. That's just the fact of the matter. You don't like it go open your own forum up.

How many times can you hear the same question before getting a little irritated? Honestly I know these mods have put up with so much shit, because they get asked the same things over and over and over again. The search button is a seriously good thing, but no one utilizes it, and people need to learn it isn't ok to not do a little research first.

I don't think that the mods have been too out of line, and furthermore, if you don't like it you are free to take your ass elsewhere. Period.

Google man. This is going to give you the widest range of experience to pull what you want from the information.

The fact is that for me I change up depending on how I am shooting. I am left eye dominant and right handed so for the real thing (my beloved .223) I shoot eye shut. For close quarters and airsoft useage I play eyes open. This is just me though, and how I play is dependent off of the factors I mentioned earlier. It's really all about YOU and your gear.

Ask thomas's nose if scopes are useless, Im sure it would disagree

Thomas is just a n00b  and I just prefer not to mention him when it comes to scopes, since he is after all Mr. Nightvision.
