My CA m4 is run stock except for m120 spring, and ak length barrel... I can switch out a 9.6v 2400 pack at any time but it is usually more of a pain to get it just in the stock since it is custom made than the worth it brings on the battlefield. I run the stock battery 1300mah other than that and it lasts for 2 full matches... Ofcourse I have RC car experience and all the equipment left over so I keep my packs in good shape... I keep seeing ppl at the matches and their packs die... Most of them using smaller packs less runtime usually but the full size packs when discharged completely w/ a light bulb discharger and then charged fully should have no problems...

When it comes to MAH that is not what gives you enough power to power a motor the main thing you always wanted to look for (in RC racing) when selecting a pack is the actual voltage per cell... The higher voltage the faster your motor turns and the more of an edge we would have in races. It just might happen that the 1100 mah pack that you had andy was lower voltage than your other pack.

This is one thing I've learned in airsoft it is usually better to go w/ the name brands (Sanyo) when choosing a pack since they are not matched other than the mah of them... If I remember right I took one of my friends "yellow packs" as I like to call them and checked the voltage per cell and on average it was only about 1v per cell making a 8.4 not a 8.4 but a 7v pack and so on. While if you compare to the remote control battery cells that I used to buy for $80 for 6 cells it would be more on the 1.16 range on the low ends (Sanyo cells). Just my 2 cents on the battery subject :)

So you know grocery stores have SIGNIFICANTLY decreased pay for courtesy clerks, the avg pay is now between $6-6.50 an hour. However all other positions went up. The courtesy clerk position is fun though since half the time your working you could possibly be slacking off. Since your 16 tho that would be the only job you can have at a grocery store.

Now, I have primarily been shopping the AUGs and have run across several things. First the price seems to vary quite a lot, from as little as $211 to about $300. Also there seems to be some variation in the descriptions about the FPS that it will project love down range.

It doesnt look like anyone answered this so I'll try to do my best. In terms of price most online retailers will vary based on if they are in Hong Kong, or in the US, ofcourse when you order from HK its usually more expensive... In terms of the FPS most online retailers that are well... Less trustworthy will say the the guns they feature are higher fps than they really are, whether they use .12 rounds or something of the sort to crono it or just do whatever they can to get that little boost in fps for their guns. If you want to know real FPS' Dusty at jungletoy should be able to tell you the actual fps on almost any gun on the market :P

In terms of reliable retailers I've personally shopped w/ WGC, and airsoft atlanta both are great sites. I'm the kind of person who likes to buy everything at stores I can walk into so the majority of everything I have came from Jungletoy.

As for the CA m4 I own one and I run a 120 spring w/ a MATCHED 9.6v battery and I have had no problems so far...

just my $.02

Well I've never taken apart a motor used for airsoft and I'm almost positive they are made to be much harder to take apart than R/C car motors that I am used to.  If they are anything like R/C car motors the top of them is plastic and you can just pop it off (with difficulty) and then from there it is all downhill...

I'm planning on doing it for my CA m4 but am gonna leave markings on it... I remembered that one of the biggest reasons for me to even buy a CA was for the markings...

I ended up responding to microsoft w/ almost an essay about their "leetspeek" and how wrong they were on so many parts of it :)  The best part was I used 100% "leetspeak" and translated it for them so they wouldn't be confused :P

I have a woodland camo colored vest from JT, its not the full one but the smaller one that looks crappy when your not wearing it :P  I can tell you that it has worked for me perfect, I can fit just about everything I need in it including 12 M4 mags, 4 quick loaders, and about 4000 BBs.

Do most people in airsoft use the big radios w/ hundreds of channels on them or the small and portable two way radios? Also is firefox throatmic a single plug for both mic and earpiece?
