I've got a Classic army m249 (long barrel full stock version) comes with 9.6v battery, 2 drums (both different styles), a real SAW nut sack type soft feedbox and a dummy ammo belt. I put an tighter upgraded G&G barrel and it has an m120 spring in it so it chronos at around 390+- with .20g bbs. I really just used it as a display gun and to lay the hurt down on troublesome birds, very impressive piece. I'm looking for $300 obo

Reviews / US GI Load Bearing Vest LBV LBE
« on: October 03, 2006, 11:41:48 AM »
ok i know you guys are all hyped up on your highspeed cyote brown chest rigs and stuff, however newbies should concider a used or new government issue Load Bearing Vest. I can personally attest to this gear as i spent some years using it in the Marine Corps.

there are two basic kinds of GI LBV, one is a molle vest basically and one is a vest with propriatary mag pouches.

the vest will hold six m16 style mags, and has two frag pouches. you must combine this gear with a duty belt (often refered to as a pistol belt) which you can use to attach any of the gi pouches or canteens. there are d rings on the back for holding a butt pack also.

this gear is really good, and VERY inexpensive, i got two gentlely used on ebay for $5 each!  similar deals can be had check out ebay.

the best thing about this gear is that it is designed to carry heavy loads, i doubt even the most fanatical airsofter could wiegh it down with as much gear as you do in real life, but he someone did they can rest assured that it will distribute the load evenly and still be comfortable.

take my word for it, high speed gear is cool to look at and to wear but not to buy, why spend so much on a vest when you could dump that money into some more mags, or bbs or what have you.

Troubleshooting / Classic Army M249 parts questions.
« on: August 29, 2006, 02:27:04 PM »
I am getting a CA M249 mkII here pretty soon, i have read online that one of the problems people seem to have is the piston stripping, and the piston head breaking. i am going to replace these parts first thing wheni get it. however i am not sure what kind of piston/head i should get. can anyone give me some ideas on the best (and not horribly expensive) way to upgrade this weapon.

also did i miss any major problems, is there anything else i should change out ??

Troubleshooting / Two technical questions... GandG GR16 and SRC SR4
« on: April 13, 2006, 08:03:13 AM »
I have a G and G gr16 I really love the gun alot, it works excellent, except for the magazine catch, my mags misfeed because the catch doesnt hold the mag tight enough, so i need to know which brand of mag catch is the best to buy.

The other question i have is about my brother's scr sr4, its a good gun except his outer barrel is loose where is connects to the receiver, how do we tighten it back up??
