My friend though it would be kool to hold a zippo up to the tip of his gun after shooting it. the whole thing burst into flames and singed his arm. Be careful if you ever think of doing this because gasses are very unpredictable.

Your friend sounds like an idiot.

I just tried my propane adaptor out at the Swat House last weekend. The Mac 11, M-79, .45, and Glock 23 worked well with WallyWorld-bought Coleman Propane.

Everything chrono'd well and a few drops of R/C silicone oil (sparingly!) and your'e GTG.

I feel a lot safer with a STEEL propane tank rather than that flimsy jap stuff.

Not to mention the fact that it has a relief valve!

I had a can of Green Gas blow up in my car once simply from the summer heat.  Not cool.

Well, I used Propane in my Metal KJW M9 today with fantastic results.

It cycled crisply and had good range.  Same as Green Gas performance wise.  I paid 2 bucks and some change for the propane tank, which holds as much as a standard green gas can.

The nozzle is like 30 dollars, and pays for itself after 2 tanks worth.  Even at discounted prices, a can of green gas can cost as much as 10 dollars.  At 2 bucks per can, and with good results, I'm using propane from now on!  (Well, except when I need that little bit of extra power from Red Gas)

I only did it once. It still better than throwing green gas cans in a camp fire.

Then that rat bastard should change it back, because from what I've heard from dozens of former marines, "once you're a marine, you're always a marine". And I'm sure he's just messing around.

ON subject-

I heard that the Propane burns the O-rings on the pistol mags. And, I KNOW it smells like crap. But, will it damage the gun? Maybe with the right propane it won't?
