airsoft store in west valley
« on: April 25, 2012, 01:29:14 PM »
hey AA,

i was wondering if i could get some thoughts on what you would be looking for IF there was a Airsoft store.

ex. location, things to be stocked (brands, type, bb's), customer service, gun tech. etc.

thanks for your input!

When I was living in Hawaii they had a store called Power Edge, they had a lot of the major brands + parts + gear, in addition to techs. What they also had, which is what I think should be included is a CQB arena, it was literally a one stop shop for everything airsoft and you could sling BBs if you wanted to.

These incesant posts about Airsoft business ideas are thread crap.  Seriously if you are going to operate a business, whether it's a swedish massage parlor or an Airsoft field then do like the big boys do
1. write a business plan
2. secure funding,
3. find a location

... then start posting threads.  If you're idea of market research is a thread poll on AA then don't waste with 1,2, and 3

If somebody was interested we would love to have a mobile store come by Fightertown.  Trailer selling BBs, and other products as well as tech work and maybe have some rentals.  Your overhead will be low and you will not be stuck at one location.  You can go where the games are and to other fields.  Just throwing things out there.

Man, that actually sounds really cool. I remember at some higher-tier real-steel shooting competitions, the Army National Guard had a for-profit armorer's trailer that would fix your gun if it broke in the middle of a match, and also sell a handful of replacement or upgrade parts if you needed them for whatever reason (like the time my trigger didn't pass the minimum pull weight test). They always seemed to do well, but on the flip side, that was a sick-looking custom semitrailer backed by military funding.

+2 on this.
