Airsoft Items FOR SALE / Re: Gear for Sale/Trade

He's asking if it's real Multicam; the colors look off to me as well, on top of the fact that neither TruSpec or Propper make MC uniform tops in that cut.  Regardless, it would be to your benefit to include the name of the manufacturer on your gear when possible.

New camo scheme I decided to try out with my airbrush on this CYMA AK74/Echo1 CPW hybrid I just finished.  While it came out exactly like I wanted, I'm not sure I like it.  I used Rustoleum khaki for the base and a custom mix of Tamiya acrylics for the brown.  And before you ding me for the unpainted stock, just realize I have a particular aversion to painting a $70 accessory before I decide whether or not to keep the paint scheme.

First, my copypasta'd rules:

1. Serious offers only please.
2. I do not give refunds, except in cases of clear negligence on my part.  All equipment is sold as-is.  It will be checked prior to shipment to make sure it is perfect working order, unless specifically stated in the ad that it is not.  If it breaks in your possession, I will not pay to fix it.
3. All payment should be done as a gift via Paypal (so you don't pay fees and I don't pay fees).
4. Buyer pays shipping, unless specifically stated in the ad.  I will ship everything possible via USPS Priority.

I am located in Prescott, AZ.  I am willing to drive down to Phoenix for a face-to-face deal, but I need it to be worth my while.

Please PM me or shoot me an email (dnrousseau@yahoo.com) with offers.

This is just a sale to offload some gear I no longer use; prices do not include shipping.  The only trades I am looking for are 9" or 12" M4 rail systems, or airsoft Glock 17s or 34s.

Multicam Condor Summit Zero Soft Shell Jacket - Sold!!

This is the new Condor Summit ZERO jacket that they just released at SHOT Show.  I already have the regular tan one and I love it, but I can't justify keeping two of the same jacket around.  On a sidenote, this is the second generation model; if you have seen the regular (non-ZERO) jacket, this is slightly better in construction terms and materials.  Much more "waterproof" than the last one and some slight differences in the zipper pulls and velcro.  This jacket has only been worn once and has no wear and tear anywhere.  You can be the proud owner of this jacket for only $85; pretty decent price IMHO when you consider that it sells for around $150 at most online retailers, and most of those retailers don't even have them in yet.

Small Emerson Direct Action Pants - $35

Emerson Crye clone combat pants in a 30R.  They just don't fit me for some reason.  They are well made for Chicom clothing, and the integrated pads are quite comfy; I did make cuts in the side of the foam to allow the knees to articulate better, so they resemble the foam on the G3 Airflex pads.  These pants have also only been worn once, and exhibit no wear and tear.

Airbrushed IBH Helmet - $40

This is an IBH helmet that I painted myself, and after I acquired a MICH 2001, I never wear it.  Padding on the inside is intact, but there are no helmet straps.  You can fit any surplus MICH harness to the helmet without modification, and a set only costs around $5.

Bunch of pouches I no longer have use for.  All pouches are $5 each, except for the Tactical Admin pouch, which is $10.
1.  Multicam IFAK pouch
2.  Condor Double M4 mag pouch (holds 4 mags)
3.  Admin Pouch
4. and 5.   Condor double open top mag pouches (hold 2 mags)
6.  Condor Tactical Admin Pouch

Thanks for looking!

Finally got the video from the GoPro I wore all day; if somebody can help me embed the video directly in the post, I would appreciate it.  Had a fun time playing with everybody out at the Sandbox!

Troubleshooting / Re: Soldering help
« on: January 17, 2013, 01:13:53 AM »
As someone who does rewiring for Deans fairly often, I can have a set of Deans connectors fully soldered and heatshrinked in 10-15 minutes now that I got a butane powered soldering gun.  It's just a bit bigger than a large pen, and heats up very fast; I've never had a problem with "not enough" heat, which was a big problem for me with some of the electric ones I've used.  I picked mine up at Radio Shack for 25 bucks.  If you plan on doing more soldering in the future, I cannot recommend one highly enough.

Sign me up +1.  Myself and my +1 both joined your HWG "gold member" club at the last Black Hawk Down event.  Is there anything special we need to do to sign up?

That's some good shit right there.  Nice job on the MP7, but that PC made me think dirty, Multicam-covered thoughts.  Right up until I noticed the Navy patch. :D

My team and I send our dearest condolences to the family.  Even all the way up in Prescott, he had an impact on the sport, and it's just not the same driving down to Phoenix anymore without Gearbox.  He will be sorely missed.

Anyway, Ms. Wolf, glad to have you here.  I am the president of the airsoft club at Embry-Riddle, and it's always nice to get more players up here.  We play weekend games all the time, and there are some great bigger events that come up here every now and then.  Welcome, and if you'd like any more info about my club or coming out to any of our little skirms, just shoot me a PM.

If you haven't ever gone to one of HWG's "scripted" events, don't be talking down about them.  I've gone to two of HWG's Black Hawk Down events, and my teammates and I had a lot of fun both times.  They are not trying to put on an airsoft game with these events; they are far more similar to a military training exercise than anything.  You are still relying on all your tactics and teamwork, just like any other event, so it's not like you can CODsoft it and still accomplish the mission.  HWG ramped it up since the last Black Hawk Down, too.  Seeing a real AK47 firing directly at you (blanks, but still) is a really trippy thing to see, and stretchering an HVT out of a hot zone is surprisingly exhausting.  The whole thing was probably the most realistic "milsim" event I've ever been to, and I never had to play a single game of CTF, or bitch at some noob for not calling his hits.  The entire day was just straight up fun.  Thanks to HWG for putting on the event; my teammates and I will definitely be down for more.  I also would love to see some pictures and video from anyone that had a camera at the event.

I won a "Free 2012 Havoc War Games Event" waiver at the last Black Hawk Down; how do I register for the event online?  Should I just send you guys an email with my info in it or something?

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Best Quick Draw Glock Holster?
« on: September 15, 2012, 05:11:10 PM »
I've run a SERPA for several years, and just recently bought a G-Code kydex holster for USPSA.  I can't even describe to you how much more I like the G-Code than the SERPA.  Construction is more solid, you get better (and safer) retention with the thumb-break, and you have the quick-changing modularity with their RTI system.  Also, after comparing my holster to the ones by Safariland and Blade-tech, it is at least as good as their offerings for less money.  Check them out if you haven't already.

Local Games Listing/RSVP / Re: Battle for Prescottonia! Sept 1st 2012

Wow!  Those are some great pictures.  Can you post up a link to the Photobucket album perhaps?  I'd really like to use some of these pics for a club recruiting event, if that's all right.  Also, if there are more, I'd love to see them as well.

Lastly, thanks for hosting an event up here again.  It was great to have some different people to play with.  Let me know if you need help planning another one; as good as this location is, there are all kinds of different AOs near Prescott.
