Troubleshooting / MAG 100 round magazines
« on: August 20, 2007, 01:42:38 PM »
I just purchased some MAG 100 round magazines.  I tried to load them to test them, and I ran into some problems.   First, they will not load 100 rounds.  The most I can get into them is about 50.  I also have a problem with bb's hanging up in the magazine.  What am I doing wrong?

General Off-Topic Discussion / Senate Bill 1251
« on: June 26, 2007, 10:13:46 AM »
I just thought I would pass this on to everyone.

Firearm Legislation at Arizona Governor’s Desk!

Please Contact Governor Napolitano Today!

Senate Bill 1251 requires government entities in Arizona to comply with long-standing state statute that requires them to provide for temporary and secure storage of firearms when they prohibit citizens from possessing firearms in government operated public establishments or at public events.  State law currently requires that firearms must be available for immediate retrieval on exit from the establishment or event.  For too long now, many state agencies and local government entities throughout Arizona have arrogantly ignored this law intended to allow citizens to protect themselves and avoid storing firearms in vehicles where they are vulnerable to theft.

SB 1251 clarifies firearms storage procedures that must be followed by government entities when they prohibit firearms possession.  It prohibits the recording of firearm serial numbers and keeping records on citizens who request that their firearms be stored.  It also states in no uncertain terms that firearms possession may not be prohibited if government entities do not comply with the specified temporary storage requirements.

Finally, SB 1251 states that the Department of Public Safety (DPS) may not charge concealed weapons permit applicants a fee in excess of $65.  Existing law has allowed the DPS Director to charge a “reasonable feeâ€￾ for permit application processing.

SB 1251, sponsored by State Senators Chuck Gray (R-19), Linda Gray (R-10), Karen Johnson (R-18), and State Representatives Rick Murphy (R-9) and Jerry Weiers (R-12) is currently awaiting Governor Janet Napolitano’s (D) consideration.

Please contact Governor Napolitano and urge her to sign SB 1251.  The Governor can be reached by calling 1-800-253-0883 or visit http://www.azgovernor.gov/ to send an email message.

Please keep checking www.NRAILA.org for updates on this legislation and other firearms related issues in Arizona and around the nation.

General Off-Topic Discussion / I forgot
« on: June 18, 2007, 11:12:47 AM »
While doing a search not to long ago, I stumbled on a thread that had a link to PDF versions of Military Field Manuals.  I have tried to find it again, but I cannot.  Could someone point me to that thread again?  Thanks.  I did try the search function.

I am new to this, and I would like to thank Ron From Jungle Toy for spending countless hours answering my questions.  I will have more, and I thank you for not getting short with me.  I will use the search function as much as possible, since I see that there is very little tolerance for repeat questions.  i have no military experience except 2 tours in antarctica working along side the Navy and Air Force, and 1 tour on Kwajalein Atoll working with the Army.         I hope to join everyone out there as soon as my knee heels.  I would be interested in joining a team, and I am even willing to be the guy who takes one for the team.
