Suggestions for making a gun "lipo ready"
« on: April 13, 2011, 09:22:28 PM »
i want to make a Cyma Aks104 a cqb gun with a very fast ROF. I dont know much about the internal components of AEGs (but i know how the gearbox works and everything) so i normally have internal work done @ APD. so all i need is a list of parts that are necessary for a 11.1v lipo to be used. plz just list the essentials so that my gun would just run good not great since im kinda low on airsoft $ at the moment.

ps would any modification be needed for a 10.8v 1100mah? thx

I'd highly recommend a mosfet and stronger gears.

The mosfet will help keep your trigger contacts and motor from burning out quickly and the gears will keep it from stripping.

and a new motor.

lots of cymas came with plastic bushings... go ahead and upgrade those.

A new piston would be good, also.

To make a gun "Lipo Ready", perform the following.  Gun + Lipo enough said....

A mosfet can help save additional ware on the trigger contacts but is not necessary. I’d place it in the nice to have category. I'm not familiar with the stock parts on a CYMA but changing from plastic to metal bushings would be a good investment. For everything else, if there is nothing wrong with it, leave it alone. If something breaks then just replace it, after all it's a CYMA.

If you want a High ROF then yes, you can invest in a new high speed motor, high speed gears and ect...but you could probably buy another CYMA at that point.

Depending on the Lipo strength.
you actually dont want to run high speed gears or motors, with a 11.1 lipo your cyclic rate will be way to fast. all i will say is good luck finding a piston that will withstand having the gear enguage while the piston/spring is still 3/4 of the way compressed. even if it has metal teeth..

The proper way to make a gun lipo ready is to slow down the cyclic rate, with high torque gears and mid-ranged motor, Like a systema magnum, or something like that.

(Lipo ready)= a gun that will be reliable on a lipo.

Even with all of high torque gears and midranged motor, you'll still be seeing anywhere from 25-30 Rps On a 11.1

But weaker voltage lipos are a tottaly different story..

If you have any questions Pm me.
