The enemy advances, we retreat. The enemy camps, we harass. The enemy
tires, we attack. The enemy retreats, we pursue.

I've seen it in person over here, and it looks good.

I like the pocket arrangement of the ACU, and I'm surprised the AF didn't go that route with the ABU.

Those boots in the pic don't look sage green though...

guess it doesn't much matter what we (those who will be wearing it) think about it since the decision is made...

Don't tell me you joined the AF, paratrooper!

There are quite a few Airmen on this forum, I'm hoping they share their opinion.

From what I've seen here is that the shirt is the same as a BDU/DCU top, and the pants are the same except for the addition of a calf pocket.

I like the pattern and think it looks pretty sharp. I haven't had a chance to wear a pair, yet, so I can't comment on the material (as far a first impressions - wear and tear will be a little longer down the road). I am HIGHLY disappointed that they didn't go with an alternate pocket scheme, however. I would really like a pocket or two on the sleeves when I'm wearing body armor.

More f-ing Moon camo.

That stuff does look good dirty, and with the space race afoot moon duty isnt that far fetched.

I have not seen it in person yet.  As for the pockets, I guess the AF did not see a need for it since most of its force does not work in direct combat that warrants wearing body armor.  If you look at AF personnel that actually see no shit combat, they all modify their BDUs, DCUs, and ABUs with the better pocket arrangement anyway.

I am just glad I wear a flight suit to work lol..

I can't stand the new colors for the uniform.  I'm waiting till they get around to issuing it to us....deployers get first dibs on it though.  The pattern is ok but Command has even come out and said that the ACU shirt pocket arrangement was dismissed as an option because they thought it wasn't effective.  wtf?

All it is is a pretty garrison uniform!  It has absolutely NO use as a functional camouflage.  :(

Just my $0.02..........glad I'll only have to wear them for 4 years till I retire.

our distinctive service coat is a double breasted coat.. not quite Navy but certainly better than the "suit coat" look of the present service coat....
