Well, this sucks. I will not be able to go. I had anticipated the game since July. I also spent money on things for this event that I didn't really need for anything else :( . Anyways, sorry I couldn't go.

We have one last longshot at saving this field, shdsteel has an idea. We'll know if it's a go or not probably by tomorrow morning. I'm hopeful, but not expectant.

any good news about this makes me happy. hopefully it works. but as you say, I am extremely doubtful it will work at a last minute time like this.

The problem as stated is that the straw bales at the field cannot be moved, so he's seeing if he can get his hands on enough straw bales elsewhere to move onto the field and build our own paths/bunkers/etc. They might be a bit funky smelling as they'll likely be expired and a bit on the moldy side, but hey, it's a zombie apocalypse.

there is no pyro stuff that was going to be set off in the field. the problem isnt that they cant keep the corn up its that the fire department deemed it unsafe. Robert had to cancel his events too so if he had to cancel his there is no way it work for us. the only way to salvage fearfarm is shdsteel's idea

Because your government loves you and wants you to be happy.

Basically it's a huge fine of $5000 (probably per person) if anyone is caught in the field until it's cut, which I'm now told will be Friday night or Saturday morning.

Okay, supplemental idea: shdsteel can get the straw bales, but for added walls, those corrugated plastic political signs that sit on every corner are now up for grabs with the polls closed and the election over. We could rip some of those out and re-place them in the field as cover. If some of you are willing to help gather some and bring them out before the game...

This sounds like the 9th circle of hell. Also, not sure of the legality of it. Might Probably be wrong about that.

I've literally contacted over 30 people so far. I've gotten 50 bales confirmed that I can have. And still waiting on 25 others.

I'd be willing to help with the sign collection too. I'll ask around to see if they are truly "up or grabs".
