Finding that information cane be hard because AGM is the translation of their real name so you would have to find out their chinesse name first and I have a feeling their website is all in chineese

ive found some info from hong kong board members on various different international forums... however its all up to the interpreter to determine whats legit and whats not... WW2aa and red alliance are mainly where ive seen the info... Anyone can say whatever on the internet though... Various airsoft blogs based out of europe have some info as well. its all puzzle pieces though, no complete gathering of info...

I never could finish the whole movie
Before the LAST time i watched it, the two times before i attempted to the watch the redux version i fell asleep two times for each of the two parts of the movie... Took me about 3 days to watch each time (going to work and all during the day). The last time i watched it was my only successful time of consciously seeing the whole thing.

Agm was one of those chinese companies shut down. Most moved to hong kong or other countries. However i dont think agm was able to restart. I believe they were one of the companies who had people arrested. Their PPSH was due out in a month at one point and even ebaybanned had a picture and promo up. Then all of a sudden nothing, and the supply of their guns started to dry up. Do some internet searching and you might be able to find out more about them/ verify these statements. However i wouldn't plan on seeing their gun anytime... ever...

I have no idea about the echo1... A&K seems to be back in business, so you might see something new from them in coming months...

I already own two regular tru spec combat shirts and normal tru spec pants. They wear out quickly and are very basic.

I tend to stay away from anything tru spec for that reason... i paid for some of their ACU back in the day and have never bought anything since cause it faded too much in just one wash... It also tore through the knee with minimal use as well...

Those new ones look nice, i wouldnt mind getting a pair in od or tan of atleast just the pants, as i want crye's combat pants, these could be a good alternative. Like you are saying though id wanna hear about how they are and if they hold up better than previous stuff.

What do you want to know pretty much? You ask and ill try to answer. Do you run any other guns aside from the mp40? I my self would like to do a WW II load out but im focusing on Nam at the moment. I would have liked the AGM BAR but it looks like it wont see the light of day. A guy on the WW II boards mods m14s to m1garand aegs, i might get a m1d sniper rifle going (build it my self from his kit) since my bar dreams seem dashed...

Theres games posted in the gaming forums lower on the page, theres a discussion area and an actual listing area. Theres a few free AOs and a few pay fields around... One of the free aos is north of your location...

Theres discussion sections for the types of guns, general discussions, and trade, keep the things where they go and you shouldnt run into any problems with anyone  ;) Try and search the forum to see if a post your making was already made, however usually a technical question or problem with your gun doest apply to this. We'll help you fix or recommend upgrades for your gun. If your looking for vintage gear, Id be glad to help you track some down and share some sources for WW II/vietnam stuff.

I noticed your into history and WW II... thats a good thing... I like the people that put some historical value behind what they do, instead of taking their motivation and ideas purely from video games.

Are there any specific forums youd maybe be interested in? Theres a Vietnam airsoft community, as well as a soviet bloc community as well. I some times frequent the Ohio forum as they have some good discussions here and there... As i said above theres a WW II board too. If you want links ill post them all later when i can dig them up.

Oh, and welcome aboard...

This video is dated sept1, hopefully its not a repost (i searched and didnt find it)

Now i have long known about the shortage of chinese items being because of the factory shut downs... In the past these things have blow over but i guess its for good this time. However my question to you guys, if anyone knows. Is what is the reason for shortages of NON chinese items? Why are things like CA/TM and half the VFC line unobtainable? I guess that the advent of Heckler and Koch licensing, cease and desist orders, and the discontinuance of specific guns i like explains CA... But where is most of the TM stock at? And are the VFC scars just that popular/ under produced that it makes the problem seem bigger than it is?

For those who dont know what the effects of this are, this most likely means jg, well, agm, dboy ect will not be coming back around. Uncompany has recently restocked on CYMA and has new cyma items, so they seem to be fine. A&K seems to be relocating? Echo 1 might find a way to source out their weapons from some one else. They seem to be coming out with new items, but older ones are unavailable. If you have a gun on order, id suggest canceling it. If its something rare (like a agm WW II gun) you might want to hold out and see if you get one of the last ones... This just goes to show that evikes little PR campaign was pretty much a joke.

AGM is known for making some alright WW II guns for under $200, however youd need to settle for the sten, or the mp44... Their mp40 is alright to but then (with german weapons) youd have to do a OSS/ FSSF load out. That gives you some leway in uniform though. The newest Cyma thompsons (without drum) shoot well and are a good TM clone. You can pick them up on CL for about $100 sometimes. The drum version while cool, is partially inaccurate due to body/bolt designs/changes. For $100 you cant go wrong, that leaves you with $40 for a set of king arms mags, and $60 to get a ver. 6 cylinder head upgrade, and maybe a bolt, tightbore, cylinder, or piston even.

AGM is due to have a BAR out sometime for $300, a copy of the VFC one. The hexagon PPSH has most of its problems fixed and mid cap drums do exist for it now. Its pricey at the $300 mark too however.

A guy on the WW II airsoft boards offers M1 Garand AEG conversion kits in 2 styles for the m14, and will build you one too. One kit is all wood, while one kit is wood with some resin made replacement parts for wood. This offers an economic version of the kit. The gun uses m14 mags shortened and comes with 2. Instructions on how to make more magazines are included and you can purchase more i believe.

Alot of the gas shell k98s are crap, and i dont hear anything good about the m1/m2 carbines or gas garand. All use 8mm, hold realistic ammo amounts, and the m1 needs to be cocked every time, the m2 does not though. Tanaka makes a cool gas shell trench gun, but picking up the shells would suck and its harder to find now.

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Re: Oct 30 Zombie Game Discussion

You could do a game like these guys did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eHwcyUx8-8. A bunch of space marines go on to a ship and find the crew mutated caniables with a few monstrous creatures.

Seeing as how "xenomorphs" are almost "zombie like" sacrificing you to produce one of their kind... Perhaps a game based of of the Aliens V.S. Predator Game could be done as well at some point. This would involve 3 sides, xenomorphs(alien/zombie class), Space Marines, and Predators/Hunter Aliens. This is semi complex, however it could be pulled off... The Aliens could utilize zombie wave attacks, but also be stealthy at times and use a "fake" knife/claw attack... The predators could have a same attack along with the ability to use a gun, limited ammo or limited gun classes of lower fire to simulate the predators weapons. a small amount of forces for the predator side would work too. The space marines would be limited to just weapons.

the general alien class could be limited to grey/blue jeans/civilian clothes... while the predators could wear urban/black and a paintball mask. The marines would obviously be all military camos, maybe try to stick to green patterns.

Further more the predators could also play a role like the other MTT games "pmcs" with a private agenda, unknown to the marines, but sometimes helping them, perhaps when they get to half of their force size or when the marines are being waved attacked and beaten down...

Gas Powered Guns / Re: We or KWA 1911
« on: September 28, 2010, 10:33:23 AM »
I would say it looks like the WE is the better choice due to cost. The reliability of WE comes into question time and again though, however most GBBs will give you a rough time at one point in time or another anyways. I have only had a WE luger, and it was problematic, but alot of that had to do with the lugers operating system.

I my self am trying to decide between a WE or KJW govt. model 1911, im leaning more towards the KJW just because its a little cheaper. Which ever model your looking at though seems to be a steal with all the extra mags.

Some people might say that.... However i dont know a vet that would complain lol... Usually veterans get a little touchy when you use nick names for units or specific types of troops... Using their patches usually strikes a cord too, but often for reenacting they'd tend to be lenient, but its still touchy.

Most kids in airsoft these days pay homage to mw2 or BF2 which couldn't be less accurate. Any vet should be happy that i actually know enough about Vietnam to do a reenactment/impersonation to honor them because of how i feel about the impossible feats they achieved and the sacrifices they made, instead of getting hung up on how i refer to the war... I also lost a family member in Vietnam due to dioxin (agent orange), thats not equal to being there though still. To fight for my right to agree or disagree but say what i want, as long as i dont use specific words is a little hypocritical.

I wish kids were more into history, and less into trying to look cool. Then they might think it actually was cool to buy a BAR and be a marine raider... Or get a sten and be a british commando. Even 90s era seals are cool in my opinion... Overall, the cost is about the same. I dont see why everyone thinks that having the same m4qd with magpull stock and p mags with multi cam and plate carriers so you all look the same is the thing to do. Dont get me wrong, i like that fancy stuff too, but i also like to be unique and original. To each their own though.

I ordered-
1 x     (Pre-Order ETA 09/2010) VFC Full Metal MK16 ASC Light Gen. III Full size Airsoft AEG ( Tan )     $370.00

Now it says (not in my order recipt though only on the page) "Next Batch"
(Pre-Order ETA 11/2010) VFC Full Metal MK16 ASC Light Gen. III Full size Airsoft AEG ( Tan )     $370.00

Thats the kind of BS im talking about that goes on over there, and it illustrates that their online forum campaigns are really nothing more than propaganda and an attempt to keep people giving them their credit cards while no product leaves the warhouse... I bet the VFC scar was "ETA 07/2010" some time in april or may.... They dont work with companies, they work with distributors... like everyone else, evike is waiting on their preorders... while evike says theyre #1 they could order number 45 with the distributor, while places like AEX(40), ASGI(3), and all others are ahead of them on the waiting list... Effectively your waiting on a list, which is a conglomerate thats waiting on another list. Its an
exponential waiting list.

For further info (doesnt explain your VFC shortage) look here

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: yuma area help with paint job
« on: September 27, 2010, 09:27:41 PM »
Usually its better to spend more money on spray paint, as you get what you pay for... thats what ive learned in my years of modeling though...

What color do you want it to be? are you trying to make it a better tan color? or do you want to camo it? Theres a few techniques you can use, however if you dont want to camo it, i wouldnt tell you to use those techniques....

I would suggest either the Krylon camo colors, or Model Master/Testors model paints (as you can get a HUGE variety of military colors and shades from multiple eras and countries)...

Make sure you coat everything atleast once or twice (base coat, and any striping/camoing). Also it would be a good idea to pick up a can or two of Dull Cote (not clear, or gloss) and cover the whole gun once your finished. This will keep your paint on there longer and make it hold up through wear and tear more so than if you just left the paint bare...

As for mags, the below options are fine. pmags would probably look best in a scar. King arms, sarms, and MAG all make good mid cap mags too, im not entirely sure which companies make their mags in tan though, some might only be in the regular gunmetal color.

AEG's / Re: What else do i need for my spr to take a sp120?
« on: September 27, 2010, 09:20:20 PM »
The Original Tokoyo Marui style of thinking had different nozzles for the different m16 series actually... SOME of this carried over to a few CA guns, thats why you can buy a nozzle for an m4/m16a2, or for a m16a1/xm177e... There is no difference between m4/m16a2 though, unlike what i said earlier, from what i can tell (ive been looking into it today). Why tm did this, i dont know...

Im going to inspect my bucking, as im sure the nozzle isnt the problem now... returning to my original stock bucking or some systema bucking might fix the problem... The fit of the madbull is just too tight to be able to properly align it all and make sure its in correct. a new hop up might allow me to use it, but im not going to get a $40 hop up to make my $6 bucking work...

nozzle can cause huge problems with fps too, but usually also hurts the accuracy. Really, aside from a low-rate spring, most of the other fps problems cause huge accuracy issues.

If the gears are missing teeth (you said that some teeth got stripped off of one at some point), replace them. I wouldn't worry about buying top-of-the line gears... they aren't really necessary for a normal build.

As for the nozzle, its possible that i have the "wrong" nozzle. I was unable to determine if the Dboy rifle used a m16a2, m4, or m16a1 style nozzle, to my best ability i decided the gun was over all a clone based on the m4 series, not a m16a2 or m16a1 tm/ca style which take a slightly different nozzle. However i could have been wrong.

My gears are fine, it is the gun that this spring was previously in that suffered that catastrophic incident, i mentioned it as it was another d-boy and it pretty much seemed like the spring tore the gun apart from the inside out. The piston being Aluminum probably contributed to the stripping. My friend probably messed up his shimming when he threw it all together too though... causing the stripping repeatedly...

Quote from: "derekr44"
Even though a bucking may be new, all it needs is a miniscule tear right near that nub to cause a problem... and that often happens during installation if one is not careful or methodic when installing it.  Some of those edges on a barrel can be pretty sharp, and the fit is very tight.

I tried my hardest to "carefully" install the bucking however the crappy hop up and tight bore made this next to impossible... My concave spacer/ nub may have contributed to a tear, ill have to check this out as its seeming more like it could be a problem. As i really had to work it all in there, and the mad bull bucking i got isnt known to be as good as some of their other ones. This is probably where my problem is, ill have to take it out and see tomorrow.

Thank you for your guys help
