PDI 6.01 TBB
« on: May 27, 2010, 03:45:04 PM »
Just out of curiosity instead of buying it and then seeing how well it works, Does anyone have a recommendation good or bad on PDI I know they are expensive and wondering if the addage that you get what you pay for is worth the 150$ for the barrel or if there is something that is better than it. I am looking at a 509mm barrel (M16 length)

Other brands that i have looked at

Masamune(Airsoft GI)= read reviews you may get a good one you may get a bad one.
Prometheus= Good brand but have not found a 6.01mm barrel from them in any length
Madbull= Currently have a 509mm 6.03 and not the greatest for accuracy
Nineball=Not sure about them

Are they the best barrel out there?  IMO, yes, without question.  Are they worth the extra price?  IMO, no.  The advantage you get from a PDI barrel vs quality 6.03's does not off set the price difference.  I'm liking my Madbull 6.01's and they are a third of the price.

it has been proven in history that for a group to survive its government must be over thrown from time to time. my fear is that this will come to our lands way to soon.

I've had good luck with the madbull 6.03's. 6.01 madbulls seem to be worth the price. I don't think the price for the PDI is really worth it personally. If you have the money to spend, and are willing to possibly not be uber wowed, then get it. Honestly, cost effectiveness is what I like, so my madbull barrels have a special place in my closet lol.
