General Airsoft Discussion / Task Force 16 in AZ
« on: March 29, 2012, 09:46:44 PM »
Good evening everyone!

I introduced myself last year (July/August time frame) when I moved here from NC. At that time, I was training for my job and interested in finding out how airsoft worked out here in AZ. I've been roaming around the site for awhile and have finally come to the conclusion that it's time to make another post, this time with a little more information about myself and the team I represent.

I am a member of a NC based team named Task Force 16 www.taskforce16.com, which was created in late 2006 with only four original members. Overs the years, TF16 has seen a dramatic increase in size and has roughly 70 recognized members spread throughout the state of NC. The team's leaders and members have played a large role in the organization of airsoft within the state of NC, as well as participated in some of the largest events in the state, as well as some of the more well known nationally (Irene, Lion Claws, etc). The team is based on a military rank structure, which awards promotion points to members based on the activities they participate in with the team. As one of the more well organized teams in the state, TF16 has been able to offer its members its own training classes, to include its take on airsoft basic training, CQB training and even leadership training. The team has prided itself on being open to accepting a wide variety of individuals, from your every day office worker, to combat veterans, from 8 year olds, to 65 year olds and everyone in between. At the same time, TF16 is committed to providing an outstanding airsoft experience, whether you want to enjoy casual games, or prefer more hardcore Milsim, or Realmil game-play.

Since my move out to AZ, it has been my goal to begin a new chapter of TF16, which would be based out of AZ and still hold ties to our NC brethren. Although I am new to this site and AZ as a whole, I look forward to starting anew out here and building a quality chapter of this team within the state.

We are actively looking for new members - our website contains all of the details regarding the team and our forums are the home-base for all of the events and activities of the organization. Anyone who is interested can feel free to contact me either via this forum, or the team forum, or feel free to fill out an application on the team website.

I look forward to growing the team in AZ and getting out and slinging some plastic with the rest of you soon. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the welcomes guys. I'll tell you that so far, while it's warm here, it is not very humid and I can definitely handle that.

Introduce Yourself! / New to AZ

Hello everyone. I'm new to AZ, but not airsoft. I began playing in 2006 when I joined a team based out of North Carolina, called Task Force 16. I moved to AZ a few weeks back for work and haven't been able to get out to any airsoft events yet. After I get a bit more settled down, I plan to look for some events and look forward to seeing some of you out there. Since I'm out here, my team is also considering branching out and creating a division within the state, but we'll see how things go first. I'm interested in seeing how airsoft works in AZ versus NC. I look forward to slinging some plastic with you guys soon.
