Reviews / CYMA CM 046 AK METAL/WOOD

I purchased this AEG because i am a fan of AK platform rifles, this one was in my price range and offered the most realism. I figured i'd give it about 10,000 rounds of use before i would comment on the quality, accuracy, pros, and cons. From what i've experienced with this AEG i would rate it 4 out of 5. The bbs i used were 5,000 tsd .2g and 5,000 tsd .28g, i recommend the .28g for accuracy purposes. Ive not yet experienced any problems or jams with this AEG. With the hop up tuned in you can consistently hit targets at 100+ft but contrary to what the box states this AEG will not accurately reach anywhere near 200ft. I found the stock battery to perform just fine for my needs. The battery will power the gun through 3 full hi cap mags which will equal to around 1600 bbs +-100 bbs. So long as your not a pray and spray shooter you will be able to play a long time on a single charge. I like the ebb feature, it adds a little more realism and masks the sound of the motor. From a distance you cannot hear the motor cycling only the clanking of the mock bolt carrier as it hits the receiver. A couple things i didn't like were that the rear sight is not very secure and some screws come loose often. The rear sight has room to move 1-2mm to the right or left hindering accuracy if it has been accidentally bumped. And the screws securing the barrel to the receiver work loose after about 2,000 rounds of use. Not a big deal so long as you check your rifle after each use. Overall i would recommend this AEG to any beginner-intermediate player or to someone who just wants to get some cheap plinking in.

Pros:
realistic feel/weight
accurate to 100"+
consistent feeding/no jams with 10,000 bbs
adjustable hop up
decent rof

Cons:
rear sight has free play side to side
screws can come loose
