Our last attempt got messed up by the weather, and the weather man.  So were going to try again this coming Saturday the 30th.

Same Location:  http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source= ... =UTF8&z=17

Ect. Ect.  This time I'll ignore the weather reports.  And maybe we can get more people out.

Local Games Listing/RSVP / Small game Jan 23rd
« on: January 06, 2010, 11:34:30 PM »
If you were considering going to the Tuscon game on the same date, please do.  But some of us needed to get back home a little earlier and wanted to throw a few BB's around too.  So were going to put together a small game.  I believe the AO is called Sycamore Creek.  Been years since I was out there but a map is here..

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source= ... =UTF8&z=17

Were planning to meet up at the Conaco, if thats what it still is, last chance gas station around 7:30am.  Hoping to hit the AO at 8am.

Let us know if your planning to show up.  We will probably figure teams out once were there.

Reviews / CYMA M14 full version
« on: June 02, 2008, 03:04:30 AM »
I have not had this gun out to any games yet, but so far it seems good.  The gearbox had some imperfections but it still seems solid enough. Take down was a pain compared to M4's because you have to disassemble the trigger mechanism to mess with the gear box.  But from the reviews I've read I guess all M14's are similar. The take down is not the same as the CA or TM versions so be careful and take notes.

When I got it from Airsoft GI it had written inside the box 367.  So I chronoed it, and sure enough with Excel .20's it was right around there.  I tossed an M120 in it and now it chronoed 373 at the highest with .25's which is just under the National OP limit. The variation is to about 10 FPS below that so not too much. BB trajectory appears decent, probably due to the long barrel.

I have not used it at any games yet, but so far it seems like a good gun.  And for $120. it is worth the price.  If your in the market for an M14, this seems like a good buy.

General Airsoft Discussion / Good M4 mags?
« on: May 28, 2007, 07:36:32 PM »
I have been using the same M4 mags for over 3 years and noticed last weekend at LC's that they wont feed in full auto anymore.

So what is the best mags around these days, or is there reasonably reliable alternative that is cheaper?

General Airsoft Discussion / Orange paint from Hell
« on: November 03, 2004, 09:00:32 PM »
I'm starting to think that the orange flash hider paint is some top secret government weapon against us.  I put the end of the barrel and the flash hider on my GnG in paint remover (only because they glued the flash hider on) and the only thing that came off was the color of the barrel.  That orange stuff is still there.  Untouched even.  I bet that stuff can out last twinkies.

Anyone have any luck getting that stuff off without scratching it all off?

AEG's / ICS M4 Upgrading - Not like dusting crops boy
« on: July 31, 2004, 12:10:36 AM »
I know a lot of you guys have ICS M4's out there.  My question to you is, how have you upgraded them and what FPS are you shooting with your Upgrades?

I have had my ICS M4 apart no less than 100 times.  No matter what I seem to try, it is 380 FPS or bust (unfortunatly literally).  Right now I have a silent piston head set, full cylinder, tight bore barrel, metal bushings, spring guide with bearing, and a systema M120.  All that and barely shooting 380 FPS consistantly.  I tried an M130spring, the motor and gears wont budge it, or die trying. PDI 180 forget about it. Different gears, wont fit.  Aluminum or polycarb piston, FPS go inconsistant.

I think it has finally become an obsession of mine to get this gun to shoot 390FPS consistant.

So if you have achieved the holy grail of upgrading with this gun (400FPS) and the gun shoots reliably. Please share your secret with the rest of us, under achieving Airsofters.

Accessories & Gear / Howlers

Anyone know where I can pick up some howlers for that launcher I got at LC3? I know they were hard to come by before the game.

Sounds awfully suspicious to me.

Accessories & Gear / Bolle T-800 Lens's
« on: April 10, 2004, 02:35:37 PM »
A quick question and comment about my new T-800's.  So far they have functioned pretty good, and are comfortable.  One thing I noticed at the Swat city game the other night was that my lens's glared really bad when the Swat city people turned on the spot lights.  It got so bad I could hardly see anything when I would look in the general direction of the lights.

So my question is, do they make a Lens for these that is anti-glare?  If anyone knows of such a thing, if you could post a link to where I could order some.  That would be great!

Thanks in advance.

AEG's / CA M4 RIS with a M733 barrel?
« on: December 21, 2003, 11:30:23 PM »
Okay for those of you who have torn your M4's apart more times than I have shot mine. I was wondering if it is possible to take a TM M733 barrel and stick it on my CA M4?  In addition to this, is there any way to continue to use the railed foregrip that came with my M4 RIS?

More questions to come I'm sure.

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Sunday Sept. 28th Game Discussion
« on: September 28, 2003, 03:18:13 PM »
I had fun. I think that was the most games we have played so far in one day. Too bad the clouds did not stick around, it still got pretty hot there.

Well I for one had fun. Got shot more often than I would have liked, but can't win everytime.

I think from now on we will make it a requirement that you have a decent working radio and extra batteries, and have it on during game. There were just too many times when no one would answer their radios, and people continuing to shoot and hunt after the game had ended.

On another note I think we need to find a different spot out there to game next time. Some where maybe a little closer to town but less traveled. There are just too many campers and ATVers up there. I don't think the noise from those things ever left the background today.

Good games though!
