I play airsoft because "It's Dead Sexy!"  Real accessories are interchangable with real steel.  Team work, real stealth and skill involved over a speedy mad scramble style of play and tactics.  Plus I'd personally never be caught dead in those bright colors and "Zoolander" style uniforms they wear!

Same reason why I do other things, to have fun.   Also, I can "Play solider," and not get made fun of :P

I got into airsoft bc/I started and ended the springer/mini arms race among my friends and figured I'd try putting some of it to good use. After the first game it's just so much fun I keep playing. I like the milsim aspect and the teamwork of it.

It is a difference between checkers and chess.

Checkers - a game where everyone is equal and dumb luck wins out.

Chess - a game where everyone has limits and a place, but only a team effort wins.

I's kinda like Democrats and Republicans. :)

Real airsoft is for grown-ups that are passionate about guns and gear.  We use AEGs that look and feel like real firearms, and wear gear that would make any soldier green with envy.

Paintball is for pimply teenage boys that ride dirtbikes and listen to Godsmack.

When I was a teenager I played paintball, then I grew up.

Hey.. real airsoft is for adults? I'm 17, am I not a "real airsofter" then? I may not know alot about guns, but that's not to say I don't like them.

I never played paintball, I was smart! I hated it as soon as I saw it on video. Now airsoft.. I loved it as soon as I heard about it.

Nope.  Until you can walk into a store [alone] and buy a gun, you are not a real airsofter.  Until then, you are an ice-skater, and the ice is thin.

Nothing wrong with Godsmack, they just need some new music...

Well, since my point seems to have traveled over your cranium at 100mph, let me re-phrase that:

"PAINTBALL IZ 4 KIDZ!"

I understand...just stating that godsmack is still good :). There are certain degrees to it being for children.  Only stupid thing about paintballing is now they are trying to be like airsoft, making "realistic" looking markers...that have hoppers...

he chronoed his point ;).
