^Oh yeah, I forgot to add, the Tachyon camera also comes with a clear, full body protective case that is only open to the rear to allow the user to access the buttons. I haven't taken a direct hit to either the lens or the case, but the tachyon is also a smaller target to hit than a contour or go Pro.
Keep in mind, you can also make your own lens protecting cover by dremeling a piece out of a sheet of lexan, which you can buy at Home Depot. You just gradually sand it to fit and then glue or tension-fit it in place. I do that for my RDS and scopes.
The camera still picks up sound quite well with the cover on, you can actually hear the bbs hitting around 0:37 in the video
