What would be a good vest for me?
« on: May 26, 2012, 10:02:29 PM »
Im looking for a vest or chest rig of some some sort. I play mostly cqb. I like to be quick so I need somthing lighter and low profile with out many pouches. I will hold pistol mags ,speed loader, flashlight, rifle mag and some etc stuff. I dont have a budget becaue I dont know how much a decent one cost. I dont need some super fancy high end one. I just need one that is durable and works. Would buying a molle plate then buying pouches the best choice?

If you want something quick with little protection and a few pouches I would recomend one of these
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=8470 they are cheap but theyll get the job done.

If your looking for some more protection and a molle plate carrier type I use on of these below with a set of 3 kangaroo mag pouches. holds alll my ammo and the pistol pouches can hold my flashlights and stuff.

Its really just personal choice. Considering your using this for vanguard try the molle plate carrier because at least then you can modify it if needed

There's always a battle belt. I'm currently running a SAW, so I only carry a couple pistol mags, a grenade pouch, a small radio, and a hydration carrier. A battle belt and H-harness combo works great. And because it's MOLLE and not pre-set pouches, you can customize it however you want.

This is the vest I use, and absolutely love it. I don't think I'll ever get anything else. It's light, very breathable, lots of molle space, zip up so it's easy to get on, and you can adjust it to fit your torso very snug. I keep mine snug so everything stays there, and to support my back. I use a pretty heavy set-up, but I can play all day with no back pain.

I recently ordered a Condor MOPC with a triple stacker mag pouch, some pistol mag pouches, and an admin pouch. It seems like a good vest to me. Matrix makes a "Wasatch" vest that basicly looks like what you want. Its on Evike for $30 i belive.

If you're playing cqb, this vest is great:

I run it for everything and it's fantastic. Its really light weight and low profile, and has plenty of molle space. Get an admin pouch with it and some mag pouches and you're good to go.

Low profile and no budget? Get this and hook it to your belt on your off-hand side.

Most holsters have a pistol mag pouch - thats where your speed loader goes.

Figure out what you NEED first, then buy your rig & pouches.

Yes, that's me. 8)

I've used this plate carrier since 2009. It offers good protection, plenty of molle space, and is very comfortable.
