Gas Powered Guns / GBB Confusion
« on: April 22, 2002, 08:32:02 PM »
Some people say that KSC makes their guns so that they can handle HFC22/Green Gas. But others say you should never use HFC22 in them, unless you upgrade it. Does anyone know what is true? If i bought a Glock19 or Glock18, would I be able to use HFC22 in it without blowing the valves and seals? Or should I upgrade valves, seals, and the like?
Oh yeah, if I put a metal slide on one of those guns, will HFC134a be able to cycle the slide?

Accessories & Gear / Paintball Mask Trouble.
« on: January 30, 2002, 09:06:37 PM »
I have a SR16, which as you all know has a full stock. Well in light of the rule that if you are under 18 you must wear a full-face mask (paintball mask) I tried using the one i bought from Wal-Mart for $20. But the face cover sticks out too far from my face so i cannot look through the sight, in other words the mask is too frekin' fat to let me aim, and it hits my stock. What is a nice cheap low profile SKINNY mask that i will be able to aim with?

If you buy HL2 over Steam, then you get to play CS:S next week [:)]

I still think that it should be out in August. I don't think Sierra knows any more than the rest of us...Vivendi hasn't even set up a release date, so I think Sierra is just guessing. By the way, about a month ago on their site it said: HL2 Release Date 8/??/190349203949 or something to that effect [:P]

It's been confirmed that someone guessed Gabe Newell's password, and made the post as some sort of hoax. VALVe has confirmed that the post was false, and the person who posted the information continued to post hours later, saying things such as, "Gabe, you really should have though of a better password than gaben." I guess it's back to waiting [:(]

That's what I've always been told.

Speaking of semi-automatic AK-47's, what brand are you describing Paco?

There was no other way!<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">

Raith's right, I don't mean to brag, but it took me around 35 seconds to beat him on the first try [:P]

<br />I played it last night.
I'll preface this by saying that I absolutely despise Counterstrike. I played it from Beta 1 up until about Beta 6. Then the game got taken over by bunnyhoppers and 12 year olds.

CS:Source is awesome.  It's the exact same game as CS based on the HL1 engine (here's a fun fact, HL1 is based on the Q2 engine.), but the gameplay feels more balanced and everything has been kicked up to next generation technology.  The HL2 engine feels much more immersive. There is debris on the ground, the environments are really vivid and realistic, smoke is killer, the sound is awesome.  At one point a tire went rolling by and I was awestruck by the physics of the game. It's as close to perfect physics as anything I've seen. The particle effects are awesome as well.  I was hunkered down behind a corner and one of the guys on my team started blasting past it, but a lot of rounds were hitting a few feet in front of me on the wall.  I was really impressed by the dust and concrete spray coming off the bullet hits.

I'm tempted to buy Condition Zero just to be able to play this little slice of HL2 more.

I'm glad to hear that fan of the older Counter-Strike versions likes CS:Source [:)]

If you decide to buy Condition Zero for the beta, I would suggest getting a CD Key off of ebay. I got mine for around $10 (I bought it for the CS:S Beta [:P]) You just have to find someone with very high feedback that sells CD Keys frequently.

EDIT: Just a reminder, the beta preloads on the 16th and is released on the 18th.

<br />I read somewhere that in one of the lockers near Delta labs there is a BFG.  I did not find it either.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
I heard that the locker with the BFG is way later in the game. I just reached Delta Labs, and still havn't found it. I guess I'll have to dig through my PDA's when I get to the locker, and find the code [:P]

Thanks for the info. I just found it interesting that he missed it in the small of his back (seems like it would be the most obvious place.)
