my bet is that its a SP/MP version. i'm not going to reserve it, just for that reason. i will just wait until it actually comes out to spend a penny of HL2. my friend bought a video card just cuz it included a vouture(sp) for HL2 when it comes out.

I'll probably just buy it over Steam.

Well if it turns out it is the SP only version, I will just get my $5 back for the reservation card, (nice thing about the reservation card, you can get it refunded) and hopfully they will have some of the SP/MP versions in stock.

I just have to say one thing about giving any money to Sierra for a product that has not hit the shelves yet.

Remember TF2. . .

Don't reserve games- you wouldn't believe how many people have been scammed into reserving Duke Nukem Forever.

I remember reading about a small computer game store somewhere that would use interest earned on your reserve money towards the game you've reserved when it came out.

I actually believe the world will end before HL:2 comes out, so why not just spend your money on overpriced gas or something?

Have you all seen the DOOMIII E3 trailer? You can get it at fileplanet.
It looks REALLY dark, one of those games that has you jumping out of your chair every now and then. Looks like the gameplay will be good though, and I'll bet MP will be really cool.

Sorry for contributing to the topic Hi-jack.

This is the first time I have ever reserved a game, and I can get my $5 back if I want (it's basically a $5 gift card, so the $5 goes towards the game price when it comes out.) I feel bad for everybody who reserved TF2 and Duke Nukem Forever, that just isn't right [:P]

TF2 was confirmed.. let me see if i can find the artical.
(sorry i had to run it through a translator cause im at work with a firewall and its the only way short of running a proxy server..which is to much work for a simple artical.)
http://www.gameguru.box.sk
**orignal link removed case it was for some reason not going to right page. Its on that site if u care too look for it.

Does this mean it will be released? or turned to vapor-ware? Im not exacly looking forward or watching for it.. but i thought it was worth saying.

More hl2 news, HL1 and counter strick will be ported to source. It should be ether done or pretty close cause it will be released this summer. I would probably put money down that it will be released this summer. the game currently went beta which means it will be going gold next then into production and in your hands.

There is a video for the Counterstrick conversion.. it looks much better but game play hasnt changed.
There was no new on TF2 at the time this info was released.

HL2 Reservation?
« Reply #12 on: May 10, 2004, 06:47:54 PM »
I went into Hastings over the weekend, and saw a sign advertising their reservation cards for HL2 (the kind where you pay $5, then there is a copy reserved for you when it comes, and the $5 is put towards the price of the game.) I ended up buying it, but now I'm wondering if I reserved the signle player only version (as many of you know, there will be a single player only version, a traditional version with singleplayer and multiplayer) What version do you guys think stores like Hasting's, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. will be carrying? I just want to make sure that when I go to Hasting's and get my copy when it comes out, that I'm not buying the singleplayer version. I would ask the people who work there, but the whole idea of different versions is confusing enough to all of us anticipating the game's release, I imagine it would be quite a task for a co-worker to figure it out [;)]
