MP5K What are the pros and cons associated with this gun?

I really enjoy playing the sniper and am looking to find a reliable back up weapon that does not weigh to much. I noticed that several companies make an MP5K and was considering buying it over a gas pistol. Does anyone have any info on how well an AEG verision of this gun would do as a snipers back up weapon?

I've never seen a mp5k as a field style weapon, but If you put a nice TBB in there and a mock suppressor to cover the front, you could get some good range and use out of it.

I have a field MP5k as a backup for my Dragunov.

I have had both the CA and the Galaxy

Pros:
-Super tiny
-Light
-Ver. 3 GB
-Ver. 2 Motor
-Great hop-up

Cons:
-SHORT barrel (Though I ran a full size mp5 barrel through mine, and added a silencer to cover it)
-Stick battery
-Galaxy body will break on you eventually


Buy a Used galaxy. Dont pay over $50, its not worth more used, in stock condition. Upgrade it. And have fun.
If you like it, buy the CA, use it forever.

Mine is going 25rps, at a nice 330 fps, great for CQB and sniper backup.

They are like any other AEG. If you tune it right it will perform well. I have a ghetto galaxy Mp5k on my team that is running the stock internals with only the addition of a systema hop up rubber it performs on par with the large majority of AEGs on the field.

Barrel length is completely irrelevant when it comes to AEGs in terms of range since the cylinder capacities are matched to the barrels unlike GBBs and spring replicas. There is also no proven gain in accuracy by lengthening the barrel, so if you decide to get a tightbore, just go for the stock length. I will add though that adding a suppressor makes it look and sound mean.

Beyond that, I completely agree with the above post. The battery and fragile body of the Galaxy are annoying and the stock hop up on both models my teammates purchased was junk and needed a new rubber sleeve. Beyond that they are wonderful.

Also would like to add that while the V3 is nice, the take down of the Mp5k is really annoying and a bit of a pain just like the normal TM style Mp5's.
