Well, this was supposed to be for new guys but what the hell.

My name is Christian, and I live in Scottsdale.  I'm in the military and have been playing airsoft for 5 years, the past couple with AA.  I played paintball for a few years in high school before finding out about airsoft while on a trip to CA.

I have an affinity for gear, and have collected militaria since I was a kid.  I saw a Surplus store in CA called GI Joes, and decided to take a look inside.  On a wall by the door they had various springers like the UHC MP5SD, L85, and some pistols.  I thought they were pretty cool and asked about them, to which the shopowner replied "It's called airsoft."  I went home and did a search on the internet for airsoft guns, and didn't find much.  I remember looking at DEN Trinity and thinking how expensive of a hobby it was.  I checked around, and found out about Command Post in Tempe, from which I bought a KWC Glock 17 GBB.  I messed around with it and later acquired a KJW M9, which I still use today.  By now I had quit paintball because of the gaudy BMX jerseys, pink and purple guns and lack of dicipline.  I desired something more oriented toward military-style play, and paintball just didn't cut it.

After dicking around with GBBs for awhile, I decided to make the move to an AEG, and decided upon the TM M4RIS after reading some reviews.  (I wanted one anyway, because it's what the US uses now).  A few years later, here I am with the same gun with many upgrade parts.

I apply what I've learned in training and what I have picked up over the few years I've been airsofting.  I have been to Operations Restore Order and Lion Claws III, both in CA.  I was partnered with stoneaglewolf as his Scout/Spotter for RO, and with Raven1 as Recon/Scout for LCIII.

I look forward to the same role for LC4!

All of you new guys have to look forward to playing with this great group of dudes!  I have yet to meet a better group of guys in the civilian world!

If you have any questions about me, or airsoft in general feel free to drop me a PM! 8)

I'm not new to the forum as you can see, but thought I would share about myself...

Hi, you can call me Aaron. I've been interested in airsoft for a little more than a year now and have learned quite a bit from this forum and on the web in general. I have a mini, Beretta spring pistol, and a m16a1 spring rifle and currently saving for an AEG. I was looking into doing paintball until I discovered airsoft, I never looked back.

I've always liked the military and can remember when I was 5 I got an army play set with a plastic knife and rifle. I've been wearing BDU's and sneaking around in the desert long before I hear about airsoft. I plan on joining one of the US armed forces in the future and think that airsoft would be a good place to start "training."

I also like tinkering with things like taking them apart, seeing how they work then putting them back together. I've already taking apart my spring pistol and mini and working on my spring rifle.

I like computers and photography. I have a large collection of photos I've taken (over 2000!!) on my comp and have a nice digital camera, a Canon Powershot Pro1. I would like to do photography for AA. I also have Adobe Photoshop Elements and like to edit pictures.

I'm turning 15 in less than a month. My dad is in the US army and is currently flying Blackhawks in Iraq. When he gets back in a year we will come and play a game with you guys.

I quite a few friends that are into airsoft and I’m working on a small airsoft team.

I live in the North Phoenix area...   and I think I’ve said enough about myself...

Airsoft is a good way to start conditioning for basic training, and learning a few things like cover and concealment.

You must be ready and willing, however, to let go of everything you know and absorb all they teach you in the military.  You are going to be taught somethings that may contradict what you have leanred before, but you must understand they teach you that stuff for a reason.

The ones who did best in Basic Rifle Marksmanship (BRM) were the ones who had never fired a gun before!  They simply did not have bad habits to break.

It's just something to consider.

Hes right.  You have to be open when they try and teach you new things.  I hadnt EVER fired a rifle before and I was able to qualify expert on my 2nd try w/ the a2.  Some of the guys who had shot and played around w/ guns forever developed habits of jerking the trigger, poor breathing technique, etc.  Rest assured, they will teach you everything you need to know.

One thing that will help you IMMENSELY is if you are physically ready.  The guys who show up in horrible shape and have to focus all of their energy on that dont do as well as the guys who come in ready.  If you think about it, the more you have to mentally and physically exert yourself just to get into shape, the less time and energy that leaves to do/learn other things.  So start running a good bit (it will get addictive, trust me) and get good at push ups, sit ups, and pull ups.  Some weight lifting isnt a bad idea either. That alone will put you leaps and bounds ahead of alot of the guys.

Rick

Well im Bryan Hendricks....Im a junior at NAU in flagstaff AZ and a Criminal Justice major. Ive been involved in airsoft for about 2 years, but recently got heavy into it. I tried joining the army right out of highschool, but wouldnt take me cuz of my flat feet and history of asthma. So this is the next best thing for me until i graduate and join the force.

Military has always interested me, thats why the realism of airsoft sucked me right in. I love the MilSim aspect of it. The problem is, for the past several months I have been struggling to find a way to get involved in the way i want to. Military simulation style.....I want to get on a team, and get heavy into it. So I am hoping for some help in this area. Id love to come out and play whenever yall got stuff going on.

I looked at your GEAR GUIDE, and anything that I dont have...haha...is on order. TRUST ME. I have two BDU sets, 1 desert and 1 woodland. (w/ load bearing vest, tactical vest...etc.) I have an ICS m4 with an upper gear for CQB and one at 400fps for the field. I have a g23 GBB, which i love by the way.

I just need some information on how to get started. I am not a newbie to airsoft, or a newbie to military simulation and such....just a newbie to the airsoft aspect of it. Id love to get joined on a team....try out...or just play with some of you guys.

Send me a PM....say HI....let me know whats going on.

Hey!

I'm Ryan Hoff. I go to school at Highland High School in Gilbert, and I love airsofting. I've been going at it for about year now, but have been held back from really getting into it, but I think I now have the funds to purchase my first good AEG this week! (yeah, I'm pumped)

My training consists of:Night Spy/Recon
Martial Arts- Style called Issyn Ryu (pronounced Ishin Roo)
Airsofting- 2 years, off and on with good friends

Also, I am close to being accepted at the United States Airforce Academy in Colorado, and if I don't make it, I've landed a full ride from AFROTC.

M.. I.. C.. K.. E.. Y..  Why because I thought this was the Mickey Mouse club.

My name is Mark ******* and I have been playing airsoft for many moons. I was at the first AA game ever held and still loving it. I have been to several national events and by far have enjoy the Lion Claw events. I have a background in wilderness survival, search & rescue, teamwork and leadership training. I enjoy developing courses that combine scenarios with training that focus on leadership, teamwork, and skill developement. I am always looking for people who are interested in raising the level of safety and realism in Airsoft. I am also former military and currently own a security consulting company.

Stay Sharp... Stay Safe...

Hey all.

I must say for those who are new to the sport you are definately in the right place. These forums hold a great deal of information and some of the most honorable players around. Let's all give AA a round of applause  :)

For those who don't know me yet, and I am sure eventually you will met me, everyone calls me Bucket (short for Bucket Head). My real name is Paul and I live in Tucson. I have ben into Airsoft for about 5 years now, although I just really seriously began playing last year.

Some friends and I formed SATAC in 2000, but didn't place it on the web until recently. We originally started with 5 members and now have grown (within only a few months) to 15 members.

I must agree with everyone, this forum is the best place to get info and meet great people. However remember what AZSARGE says and don't be an idiot. Show respect and be respectable and you will earn the respect you are due.

I hope to see all of you on the field.

Hey there chainsaw.

Let me be one of the first to welcome you to airsoft.

Unfortunately SATAC takes only those 14 or older but once you turn 14 come see us. We would be more than happy to consider you for membership.

And just think, after 1 year alone, then an additional 4 years with "SATAC", you will be allowed to play with AA!  Start marking the calendar, son!
