Yeah, do some research.  Feel free to ask anyone that you see carring an AEG you may be interested in.  Ask them intelligent questions about the particular gun. And as Andy said, I dont think anyone would turn you down from holding thier gun or even shooting it. The worst thing you can do is spend your money on something you will not enjoy.  My first AEG too was an MP5 because it was at the right price range for me at the time. I enjoyed it very much and it served me very well. After time when I had more to invest into an AEG, I realized that the M4 was the platform to fit my needs best.

hey James welcome to AA

i've only been a member for like a month or so

and people are a lot nicer and helpful than i expected

so don't be afraid ask questions

even if there newb questions

but don't be an @$$hole to anyone

just some advice that i've picked up along the way
