Smart's aren't cars, they are glorified golf carts.  Not sure how somebody could expect some other outcome in an accident like the one above.  One of the people I used to work with got one.  We gave her crap about it until she sold it.

honestly, if you have a head on with a truck in pretty much any car, your screwed.

Although, then again, looking at it the car isn't a Smart.  I know I have seen the car in the picture before, give me a while and I could find it.

That is true, but added to that smart cars as do other small vehicle makes dont have the kind of turning and handling that other vehicles do, so you would be less likely to have a head on collision with a truck.

On an eppisode of Topgear they tried to run those little cars around on a track and well... see for yourself.
