echo 1 m249 will not stop firing.
« on: May 14, 2011, 09:20:52 AM »
I bought a m249 for my younger bro and after using a few times I noticed that when dry firing everything is normal, but when I turn the mag on, the gun wont stop firing. I pull the trigger and fires at the normal speed but when I take my finger off the speed of fire slows by half and will continue to fire until all the bbs are gone.or until the mag is turned off and the bbs stop feeding. If anyone has any ideas, please help.
Thanks david.

Your micro switch under the trigger part is tig welded together due to high current or is caught on your sector gear.

Is this common? Or an easy fix?

Yes this is a common problem with these guns. If you take it to gearbox you can get a new microswitch for around $8, and they can switch it out in about 10 minutes.
