custom BDUs?
« on: April 15, 2005, 02:12:30 PM »
A friend of mine asked me if I knew anyplace that made custom BDUs. I don't but I told him I would throw it out to you guys and see if anyone knows anything. I guess he came by a big roll of material that he likes and wants to make BDUs out of it.

>sorry for the ressurection <

There is a company on the Web that makes custom Filghtsuits, jackets, etc (these are the folks that make the g8 WEP jackets for Stargate SG-1...)
Prepare to pay an arm/leg/body part for them though....

Unless it is a big roll of multicam, it realy is not worth the effort of making it into bdus. Sewing large projects takes time effort and good machinery that "for the money" is just not realy worth doing. The market is flooded with "fong kong" bdu ripoffs in just about every pattern (except multicam). If it was multicam I would be more than willing to take it off his hands and make some bdus out of it.

WTF? Who said anything about ARMPAT? I said multicam from crye precision. You can get "Fong Kong" ARMPAT at larada's. I guess not too many people know about multicam, but it is very different from ACU's.

Well take the R&D costs into the factor of how much something cost... Shit they probably went through thousands of patterns before finally getting it right..

No problem dickhead. And I wasn't replying to anything that came out of your mouth to begin with, so piss off anyway.  As for Multicam, I believe I was second behind MM to have the Combat Uniform WAY back in August, so take that and smoke it ya donkey raping shit-eater. How do you like that sarcasm? :D

Now, back on topic, I believe the subject was CUSTOM BDU's? Well then, if you're looking for CUSTOM BDU's, as in specificly made for you, got to Brian Kroon at Dropzone in Canada. They have a web page and you can choose from a bunch of different patterns. If you want a truly custom uniform, you can do what I did (and what your friend wants to do) and send him some material (as long as it's decent quality) and he'll do you some up very nice. My ARMPAT (calm down Ganef you pussy) is made from issue NYCO and looks very nice in the Ops pattern.

Now back to work.

By all!

Turd out.
