Just thought I'd let you guys know that my eagerly awaited FTC AK-47 GBB (yes, gas blowback) has arrived. I haven't had a chance to test fire it, but I hope to do so soon.
Initial impressions? Well, first thing I noticed was that - bar none - this was the heaviest airsoft gun I have held. I think it may even be heavier than the real steel version of it... I don't know why that would be, but it's VERY heavy. It's all wood and all metal, and yes, the metal bolt blows back with each shot. It fires in full auto and semi auto, you even have to chamber the first BB before you can fire it. Extra mags for this gun are really expensive IF you can even find them... as it stands, I only have one mag for it right now, so unfortunately it's not really useable for games. If anyone finds (or has) FTC AK mags, I will buy them.
As an aside, I got another JAC gun... this time I picked up a highly upgraded JAC M655 to go with my JAC XM177E2. I now have 9 mags between the guns, which is perfect for skirmishes (unless you're Mikey). I will probably be using one of the JAC's at the Feb 8th game. These JAC gas guns are nice and loud.
