A&K Masada or ACR.
« on: June 10, 2010, 02:35:00 PM »
Does anyone know if this can run a lipo battery? I had mine upgraded with a new motor, a spring, and 2 Mad Bull tight-bore barrels for each.

Unnecessary post. The Masada and ACR are the same thing. But said by many users on this forum, any AEG is lipo ready, viewtopic.php?f=5&t=27566&st=0&sk=t&sd=a. But I don't understand what you mean by two barrels for each, two different barrel lengths?

Not for you to decide what is necessary or not. Not "EVERY" AEG is lipo ready... most all quality AEGs from the factory can handle Lipo batteries, what was said was that the coined phrase "lipo Ready" is only a marketing phrase started by a certain manufacturer to help sell their guns and that is all it is. Cheaper AEG's may not be able to handle Lipo's as thier quality of gearbox parts can be hit or miss. Basically if you have decent stuff in the gearbox you have a good chance of using a lipo. Get your facts straight and information correct before posting, especially in the manner you did. If you are to be so critical of what threads are started on here you need to do your part to ensure your posts that are in reply are quality and have correct info if you expect people to look it up first. because, after all,  after you post something on here... this is what future OP's will be looking up.

I agree very well but as with any sport there are those are seem to think they know it all regardless of others experencies or age. Kinda makes me sad. That a 14 or 15 year old seems to think that their knowledge is always right and they can never be proved wrong

Sorry if I posted too quickly with little unreliable information, and criticizing but I felt the post wasn't necessary because three to four threads down was a entire thread about an AEG being lipo ready and how to get it ready and so on, as many users talk about utilizing information that's already there or using the forum search button to find the answer to their question. If I think I knew it all, I would post a reply on every thread but I don't know it all so I don't, I just think I know it all on one post. What does age have to do with me knowing that my knowledge is always right? I just got proved wrong by Ranger_Robby, anyone can think they know it all, but I obviously don't know it all. I don't want to start a flame war just discuss about lipo's and correct my post, as Pick's post was totally directed me what happened to "regardless of others experiences and ages" sorry had do that, but in any way I don't want to turn this into a flame war. It's just some bad experience with Pick that made me frustrated and angry in this post and defending myself. I hope that was enough to correct my mistake. Also MLA PRO sent me a pm and informed me that the Masada and ACR have minor differences that I didn't know about, because I haven't researched about those two weapons.

Here's a better answer to the OP's question. If it is shimmed well, and the gearbox contains quality parts, it should be able to handle a lipo but I don't know your gun's capabilities.

It was not meant to be taking shots at people and sykinder if you felt that was directed at you it was not and apologize that came across that way it was a general observation having been on many many different forums over the years and the attitude of people on the net
