Airsoft flash hider problems PLEASE HELP!!
« on: December 03, 2010, 08:32:42 PM »
Hello, recently I have been trying to remove my flash hider on my echo 1 stag 15 m4, and basically my problem is that the little allen screw at the bottom of my flash hider isnt coming out, ive used all the allen wrenches i have from .50 to whatever else actually fit in the screw, i think the angles on the screw may have been worn down and now there is not allen wrench that fits in there, can anyone help. Also i would like to add that unlike many other echo 1 stag 15 m4's have plastic flash hiders mine is metal. Please if you have any ideas/solutions post them.

Thanks alot mike.

That screw is a 1.5mm METRIC Allen head. Hopefully you didn't mess it up to the point that it would have to be drilled out or ruin the flash hider. Also remember that the flash hider is counter clockwise.

there are also these lovely little things called "extractors" or "stripped screw pullers" or something along those lines you can get at any hardware store.
