Ok, slight topic change for those who are going.

I'm the one you can all thank for pushing and pushing for this game to be in Prescott, so I figure we should decide on location so I can set up a meeting spot for everyone.  On top of this, the game will still begin at the same time.  Meet at 600 and pull out at 645.  This means you all will need to plan accordingly for the longer drive.  Ive done it many times, it's not bad at all, so don't get your panties, and blouse, all in a bunch over the early wake up call.

Unless there is objections to not using the usual AA AO, I'd like to try out a place right by my house.  I have never been to the AA AO along with many others, and I can give great directions to this site (which is a good site), which may help out for anyone who is late due to the drive (dont be late though).

Directions to AO:  Upon entering Prescott Proper (through Prescott Valley), just before the Court House (the square) turn left on Mt. Vernon (also known as the Old Senator Highway).  Roughly 4 miles up, past Goldwater lake, you will come to Marapai Rd.  Turn right (note: Marapai does have an immidiate right turn, just as you turn onto it, dont take it).  Your first real right turn is Adeline Rd.  (lots of mail boxes on your left).  Turn right on Adeline.  Turn left on Elk trail.  At the end of Elk Trail you will come to a split off to the left, a right turn, or a drive way straight up.  The driveway is mine.  The game site is about a half mile when you make the right turn.  So once you turn onto elk trail, go up till you hit my driveway (1096 is the address) then turn right.  At this point, go only a small distance till you pass the only house on your left, and pull over, this is where we will meet.

Be sure to buy all neccesary water and food before heading up the mountain.

I have never seen the area near your house, but I do know the AA game area pretty well. It is very large. Lots of hills, valleys, big trees, huge boulders. It is a great area for large groups.

To do a game safely and legally we need to be either on someones private property that we know, or in an area out side of city limits that is at least a mile from houseing and such. Or a state park area. Just be sure that you are not going to get us into trouble with this "Game area" near your house.

Are you going to be here for the game Frank?  I would hope so.

Well, let me lay it out to you like this, then you can tell me what you think, I do value your opinion, and don't want to get anyone in trouble, including myself.  It IS on national forest.  I know national forest allows for most all outdoor activities.  There is a road that creates a sort of half circle in a scense.  The diameter of this circle would be around a mile.  The entire area would be enclosed within this half circle, allmost a complete circle.  On the other side of the circle, there are no houses until you hit the main road.  Its a completely empty peice of national forest, with no houses in it.  The nearest houses are probably mine and my neighbor's.  The area is complete with hills, pine trees, large rocks and large rock formations.

Frank, let me know what you think about this, and if you are coming to the game.

If this doesn't sound good to you all, then we can change it up to the AA AO.  I don't know where it is though.  We could just meet somewhere in town such as the circle k on Gurley street, just when you enter town.  It has a small parking lot area like the Conaco.

If we get enough people I will go.

If it is for sure national forest there we should be okay. It is always best to use the guide lines, that if you would not legally be able to shoot a real gun there, then you should not be doing Airsoft there either. Just a rule I like to follow, keeps us out of trouble.

If Boondock and Kopper are going then I definitly am. Have not got to game with the two of them in over a month I think.

hey Mr. Joseph when do u usually leave to make it to BT at 6? i want to get an idea of what time we need to get up and leave.
Title:
Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 04, 2003, 06:24:23 AM
Well, a little before 4.  Thats for BT though.  Depending on where you live in phoenix, it will vary.  Id say a good 1.5 hours from the i17 and the 101.  This gives you 45 minutes of leeway if you shoot for 600 arrival.

I went and checked out the area for the game again.  Its beyond perfect.  The directions I provided to my house will be where the official game will be held.  Im thinking we should do a sort of base capture game that lasts a while.  There is a rock metropolis, that will be the fortified terrorist base, and an adequate distance away there is a smaller rock formation, with a trail next to it, this will be the other teams base.  Im thinking we will mark trees next to each base, off to the side a little ways, which will be respawns.  Then, the objective for each team, will be to capture the other teams base, which will require killing everyone in the base, and having at least two (or three) people occupying it.  This way, the fight will be on many fronts.  I have a few other things that may make it better, but we will work all of this out when we get there.  I just wanted to let you all know kind of what we are doing.

Id pack a water bottle, or even bring a bag.  The game site is about a 5 minute walk or so off the road, and going back to the car wont be rocommended.  Well have a spot to set stuff down.
Title:
Post by: Solitary UDT on October 04, 2003, 04:57:39 PM
well that sounds like a great spot. if customs doesnt screw me over i should have my SR15 by then.
Title:
Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 04, 2003, 05:19:50 PM
Where did you buy it and how was it shipped.  If it came in to LA customs, youre screwed.  Ive been waiting a long time for my rifle.  16 days or so.  Mostly it will be a full 30 days before I get it.  I might get it before this game, I hope I do.
Title:
Post by: Solitary UDT on October 04, 2003, 09:07:52 PM
i bought it from the UNCOMPANY website, and i chose UPS Express, cause id never even heard of the other choices and i knew it was faster than Air or Ground. i just ordered it today, so well see they have to email me back to let me know the final price.

looks like ill b brining an airsoft newbie, ive turned him from paintball.
Title:
Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 04, 2003, 09:24:40 PM
Youll get your gun before the game.  Uncompany seems pretty good.  UPS is definately the way to go.

Pickup some ballistic glasses like AZSARGE's or mine. His were $20, mine were only $10. They dont fog up and are comfy!
Title:
Post by: Me-Ushi_Kami on October 05, 2003, 08:05:56 AM
dont u have to have something that guards the eyes from the sides too?
Title:
Post by: HavHav on October 05, 2003, 08:57:24 AM
as long as a BB can't get into your eyes. They protect everything except if someone were to get one to richochet into the glasses from a weird angle from behind!
Title:

So maybe i should not read that post about getting hit in weird angles and getting bbs stuck in your ear. well i will check those out.. where did you get yours?

Hey guys, If Screwloose doesnt come, we will need some of that orange ribbon stuff he brings (thanks for all that Frank).  Id get it, but I doubt Ill get much time in town other than school.  Does anyone have any.  I really recommend woodland camo, and we will just put flags on one team.

Post by: Rigor Mortis on October 06, 2003, 07:05:17 AM
Solitary! You left me off the list both times, but included me in the list for your van *cries* I feel so left out. Right now I'm not sure whats up. Whether or not I am going is depending on whether my mom feels kind enough to ship my Aug out to me or not, and whether I have work. It's a saturday right? I might be able to get it off. Actually probably can, my boss is a tard so he lets me do what I want. If my mom doesn't ship my Aug, I'll have no gun unless I just wanna use 2 GBB's. I'm not sure if thats acceptable to you guys. I wouldn't wanna ruin anything. I'll call my mom tonight and also talk to my boss tonight, so I'll know for sure whether I'm coming or not tomorrow. Also, if I am coming, I do need that ride solitary. (And also, that woodland jackety thing would rock if you could let me borrow it for this game. I'll just wear some black or brown or green pants with it)
Title:
Post by: Solitary UDT on October 06, 2003, 09:14:20 AM
Hey sorry about leavin you off the list i dont know what i was thinking. Dont worry if you have just a GBB, i know when MAD Sarge started playing thats all he used until he got his MP5. I'll bring the woodland blouse for ya. And as for the ride your covered, i just gotta figure out the best way to get everyone.
Title:
Post by: Rigor Mortis on October 06, 2003, 09:49:32 AM
Well, heres my addy. 4770 n. 7 st. phoenix az 85014...just mapquest that, and I'll wait in front of my apartment complex for you guys. I'll probably have it my Aug by then, but who knows. Right now, I'm actually in the proccess of buying an upgraded mp5a4 with two hicaps and a battery for 180 shipped. Yes!! So I might even have that by then.
Title:
Post by: Me-Ushi_Kami on October 06, 2003, 10:29:24 AM
Well i would suggest we find out where everyone lives and pick a meeting spot. Solitary is already doing us all a huge favor by giving us all rides. (BIG thanks btw) If we get everyones address we can pick a spot some where in the middle or not too far from anyone. I live about 10 miles from rigor mortis. Lets try to get adderess on the others getting rides.
Title:
Post by: Rigor Mortis on October 06, 2003, 10:48:54 AM
See, thats the thing. I don't have a car, so I can't go to far from my house. I would be more than willing to fork over like, 10 or 15 for gas, and if everyone else did the same, that would more than pay for the trip there and back. And what time are we coming back? If we get to phoenix b4 9, I can get us all footlong subs for $2 each.
Title:
Post by: Me-Ushi_Kami on October 06, 2003, 10:59:18 AM
Im always up for some grub :P Well for those of us that can get rides to a meeting point maybe we can all meet somewhere close to rigor's place. I am just tring to make this easier on solitary. Its much easier to have to only do 1 pickup or even 2 pickups rather then going to each and everyones house. I understand that some may not beable to get rides to a meeting point and i am sure we will all figure it out. I also dont have a car at the time being but i can get a ride to almost any point around phoenix just not up north.
Title:
Post by: Rigor Mortis on October 06, 2003, 11:12:07 AM
Well, I have no family out here or anything, and my roomates aren't exactly keen on driving me around everywhere. I get what you're saying but, unless I can find a ride, I would need to be picked up. I'll see what I can do. btw-Anyone need a side-arm? I've got 2 NBB WWII commander style pistols. They hold an INSANE amount of gas. Literally, they hold enough gas in their tank for 3 or 4 clips, and they shoot about 250. Nice, cheap little pistols. I can bring em and lend one out, or maybe even sell one. They haven't seen any skirmish use, just some plinking. I bought em for 30 each. But if anyone wants a gas side-arm, I'll lend it to em for the day. I was pretty sure I heard a few people using springs as side-arms, maybe that was a different forum though.

Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 06, 2003, 01:43:49 PM
Gas from Prescott to BT and back is only 20 dollars in a Tahoe.  It wont cost you very much to make this trip.  Thats exactly why I think we should do it more often.

Yea i figure everyone can chip in $2 and that should cover it just fine. as for picking people up, Mad Sarge and HavHav are easy for me to get to. Me-Ushi if you could just go to Rigors place that would be great.

As for my gun getting here its gonna be close. Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Schedule changes have made it so that I cannot attend this event.  Hope everything goes well for all those still going.  It will be especially good to know how good the site is and hear the aftermath reports.

This also means I won't be able to give someone a ride[xx(].

I'm planning on it. Got a lot of things that need to get done this month, but I will make a serious effort to keep game days free.

On another note I picked up some air propelled rockets yesterday. Thought they would be a cute prop, if nothing else.
Title:
Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 06, 2003, 06:18:37 PM
How do these air propelled rockets work.  Are they airsoft.  They could be used to blow up an enemy base, or even to blow up an enemy respawn point, that could be cool.

Screwloose:  could you bring that tape stuff so that we can have arm bands to separate teams.  Most everyone will wear woodland I'm sure.
Title:
Post by: Solitary UDT on October 06, 2003, 06:26:27 PM
yea Sarge that would be great. i'll PM you some good directions. rockets could be pretty cool, they actually fire? if so about how far?
Title:
Post by: Screwloose on October 06, 2003, 07:03:14 PM
The box says 90' but I have not tried them out.  I have a small one and a large one. I may pick up another couple of large ones. They were like $5 at Walgreens. Very soft. You might not even feel it if one hits you. Or at least you wont know what it was.

I have several colors of tape stuff. I will bring them.
Title:
Post by: HavHav on October 06, 2003, 09:01:56 PM
What kinda air propelled rockets? Sound fun yet fun to where they are dangerous! Has anyone tried to shoot one of those airsoft M72's? $80 and C02 powered, they look pretty cool!

On another note, looks like my gun is DOA. But is it cold up there to where a GBB would possibly not work? Cuase thats pretty much all I got. Ill bring the MP5 to the game anyways, never know!
Title:
Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 06, 2003, 09:04:31 PM
Your gas blow back will work.  It takes some really cold wheather to put a GBB out of commision.  I shoot mine every day.  I eat my wheaties and shoot my Glock...
Title:
Post by: Screwloose on October 06, 2003, 10:16:30 PM
Your MP5 is dead again or what?

You really ought to not roll it in the dirt, then maybe it would work!
Title:
Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 09, 2003, 08:03:33 AM
I usually only shoot about 500 in a day.
Title:

A full day? I shoot alot more. I usually waste about a clip a round, and thats hi-cap.

PLEASE READ THIS...

I was going to buy another battery for this precott game, its all day long, and last game I ran out of battery.  If anyone has a mini battery, Preferably 9.6v, but anything will do, I'll buy it from them, or it would be really cool if I could barrow it.  Bring it to this game or the one on saturday, and Ill buy it then.

Title:
Post by: busta_cap on October 09, 2003, 04:55:03 PM
if they are nicads, theyll get nice and hot and they should, as with Nimh, a few degrees increas in temp should a warning as they are done.

Theyre sanyo cells that I bought with the gun, those normal looking Marui batteries.  They have a different shrink wrap on them now and I cant tell which kind they are.

I don't know anything about batteries, but anybody got anything on selling me a bag or 2 of BB's? Gas is a little harder to come by I guess. Anyways, does anyone live in Gabriel, or near there, and if so, would it be posssible to give Gust a ride. He wants to go, (and I want him to go =D) but he's got no way to get there.

So Anyone have any plans for this game yet?

Joseph will it be easy for me to get my car to the game area or do you need a 4 wheel Drive?

Oh and by the way, I will be wearing Woodland BDU's at this game.
Title:
Post by: Rigor Mortis on October 13, 2003, 09:57:08 AM
So Me-Ushi is for sure gonna show up at my house? I'll probably just meet you out front by the sign. What time do you think you'll be there Me-Ushi? Also, I think it might have been solitary that said he had some extra camo for me to wear, if you could bring that, I would be thrilled. I'm gonna charge up both my minis, and I have about 3000 BB's. I hope thats enough. I have No gas though, so my pistols are out unless someone can give me a squirt. My pistols will last up to 4 clips on 1 fill, so they are pretty awesome.
Title:
Post by: Me-Ushi_Kami on October 13, 2003, 06:16:02 PM
Yeah I will show up at your place but I dont know what time would be good. What time does solitary plan on pickin us up by? Where about is the sign you are talking about, like where or what is it closest to? Is there only 1 sign? Im going to pick up some stuff like BBs and maybe an extra battery and some shooting glasses so if anyone would like i might beable to pick somehting up for them if they can pay me back at the game.
(givin it isnt to much cash)
Title:
Post by: Rigor Mortis on October 14, 2003, 07:37:49 AM
There is a big sign right in front of my apartments that says "Oasis Club" I'll probably just meet you by that. It's basically next to the sidewalk. Also, I could use a bag of BB's and a can of gas, if you could do it. I'll pay you up front at my house. Just get me some .25's. Doesn't matter what brand. Large bag would be preferable.

doing either will result in bad stuff, man!  Keep a slow charge rate, and charge it longer.  I cycle mine after every 2-3 drains from play.  A 4 cycle period followed by slow 100 mAh rate charge keep my minis going strong for up to 5 weekends!  It also keeps the ROF from significantly dropping after slight use.  With mine, all the juice just drains right away (when it finally does run out), and keeps my ROF pretty consistent throughout gameplay.

Is anyone bringing a digi-camera? I'd like to get a few pix of myself to use on my website, if thats kewl. Also, does anyone have a tac vest they want to sell at the game for under 50? I'm gonna buy some BDU's later this week, but I still need a cheap vest.

Post by: Mr. Joseph on October 15, 2003, 11:16:58 AM
No four wheel drive is required to get to the play area.

Whoever needed green gas, I have a whole can that hasnt been opened that Ill trade for a full bag of bb's.

I need some bb's, not a ton, but i would buy a whole bag.  If you have extras around, bring them and ill buy some from you at the game.  If you need the green gas, Ill trade you it for a whole bag of bb's, or you can buy it for 15 bucks.

Is everyone clear on how to get here.  Keep in mind that the meeting time is still 6 am.  Remember to brind water and food.  Also, please keep all guns put away until we get ready to walk out into the forest.  Please also load up your mags and get as much ready as you can the night before.

Title:

I will get my hands on as many as i can. It could be quite a few, it might be just a few but i will try. I will sell off any extras that I figure i wont use. Im aiming to bring at least 5000 but possably more. I dont use a lot of them during games but you never know.

Nevermind the vest, I just blew all my dough (except for what I owe me-ushi) on this really sick set of BDU's. They put me back $55 but they are really nice. made br "proper" and they're rip-stop, so I like em. Me-Usi, how much do you think it will cost total? for the BB's and gas. I think I might just want the BB's, not the gas. My boss just cut my hours hard core.

Well i cant reall say for sure right now. Bring what you got and i will see how much it cost. I will ether post just before the game or tell you when i show up at the apt. I will buy the gas just in case though even if you dont buy it someone might and i am getting a MK23 socom after this game so if nothing else i can save it till then(i get paided today and it doesnt have to go to any bills so i will be dropping a few hundred on airsoft).

Sooner or later I will buy a camcorder so maybe i will bring it to one of the games. Thats if anyone would want some footage of games. Would have to be careful but i probably wouldnt be against bringing it to a few games. I could even look into a cover or something or a durable one that could with stand a few hits from bbs :P I could burn off the footage and give it out if people would like but it would be a little while before i get it.

just a thought

I also have a ton of rounds I can bring. Whoever needs them, they're bags of 1,000 and I'll bring all I have. Anybody have a charger that will work in a cigarrete lighter?

lol. Do those exist? I've got 2 bags of 1000 buts I don't think thats enough 4 me. My mom is sending the resy of my BB's with my Aug, which is about 1000 more. The thing is, I only use .25's because I'm all about accuracy.

Post by: Me-Ushi_Kami on October 16, 2003, 11:44:28 AM
well who ever is willing to sell bring them cause im bringing cash with me.. which you might be asking your self.. why would i bring money to buy BBs when i am bringing some to sell my self. (I prefer .25 but i will buy .20, .23, .25)

Answer: I dont know for sure that i will have a good amount of BBs as of yet (i will know tomarrow) so i might in the end need to buy some. That and if lots of people buy them from me and someone still is selling at the end of the game i might pick up afew extra for my friend and home use. Since he needs some too but is currently hurt so he cant go get them right now.

Hey guys.  I'm like the rest of you with ammo, but I cant drive and get some.  I have a ton of cash right now, and really need bbs.  I want to buy .25s this time though.  If someone can go to gameon and buy me some .25g bbs, Ill have money for sure, and really need them.  If they come in bags of 1000, Ill take two bags.  Also, if you go to gameon, I need two of those little powerbomb 134a mini gas cans.

I never get a chance to go there, so if you can buy me about 2000 .25g bb's and a few of those little gas cans, I would REALLY appreciate it.

Let me know whats up.  Im going to go buy some arm tape and stuff tommarow, unless anyone has some, because I really dont know where to get it.

Today?  If you mean friday, If you are going, Id really appreciate it if you could bring me those things.  Get me really good .25g bbs, I dont know the quantity that they sell them in, but I'll take a bg of 3500 if they have it.  Blah Blah, get me this list, thanks alot.

.25g bb's 3000 or more
3 power bomb 134a mini gas cans  (99c each)

Thanks a whole bunch.

Title:
Post by: -MAD- SARGE on October 16, 2003, 08:23:48 PM
Well I know that we have a van of 6 people going at least. Plus 5 or so at Prescott all ready, including Joseph.  Hey has any one made up scenerios yet for Sat?  I know Frank usually plans those out but hes not going.  We need to be organized, I dont like running around with no "real objective"  Killing the other team isnt what I call a real objective.  I'll be trying to think up a scenerio or two if I can find the time.
Title:
Post by: Me-Ushi_Kami on October 16, 2003, 08:43:06 PM
I will see what they have as far as BB loaders go, I really want an automatic one but we will see. If you want i can pick one up so bring the cash to the game i dont imagine they will be all that much. If the one i get cost to much i could always sell ya my loader (one of those ram-rod deals)
Title:
Post by: HavHav on October 16, 2003, 08:44:54 PM
We dont know the area that well, so we cant really get scenarios set ahead of time (Like BT) But new terrain will provide new possibilities!
Title:
Post by: Solitary UDT on October 16, 2003, 08:53:55 PM
ill bring money but all i really need is the ram-rod type, thanks alot
Title:
Post by: -MAD- SARGE on October 16, 2003, 09:03:22 PM
Yes, thats why Joseph would be best, he knows the area.  But I dont know if hes making scenerios or not?

Oh yea, is anyone bringing a digital camera?  Those pics that Frank took last game were nice [:P]

Anybody have a version 6 tappet plate they could sell to me at the game? Ron at GameOn had to order one from Airsoft Extreme because his guy was out of them, and it won't get here until probably Tuesday. I really want to try out this gun, I haven't skirmished with it in forever!

I'll bring my digi cam out. btw, I for sure will be coming with one other guy....however, i may recruit more at our friday night skirmish, we'll see.

I read the details of this thread but need some clarification...you want us at that location by 6:45am? Second, I'll be driving up there, where the hell do i park? I'm familiar with goldwater lake, but if you could run by the way to go on senator highway after that, one more time in real real detail that'd be great. Thanks alot Joe, and btw, i emailed u with my cell # so if you want you can answer the Q on that. If you dont come to fri night, which will be a little insane, but who knows, you can probably play without the 10 bucks also. I think thats it....yeah so directions one more time and maybe a cell # i can reach you at if i get lost or something dumb...i dont want to park on some random persons private property on accident.

If those little gas cans are only 99 cents, I'll take a few too. I know you're just buying alot of whatever, but I'm letting you know. Khal, do you think I could borrow a pic or two from your camera that I can put on my webby? You could just e-mail em to me. Me-Ushi, you have a cell fone, just in case I need to reach you?

Ok well I know for sure that Screwloose, Shifty, and Cochise said that they will not be going to this game.  So you can take them off the list.  And last I knew Gust still needed a ride.

Biggest game I've ever played is like...8 people...We should go steal some scenario idea from the section on the forum.

Boondock and I can bring our "time bombs" that we used at one game... they seemed to be a blast (I know... bad play on words). We played great games with them (like king of the hill using the timers on the bombs, bombing runs, and double assault-type games).

Post by: Screwloose on October 17, 2003, 11:15:46 AM
I talked to her per E-mail today and am feeling a little better. I still don't want to make the drive alone though. If someone could give me a ride, I could probably deal with the stress better. Just let me know. I PM Kopper about a ride, don't know if he has room or not.

Thanks guys for the support.

well i knew there where people that wasnt going from the list i made but thaty big question.

Title: Prescott, October 18th discusion
Post by: Mr. Joseph on September 30, 2003, 10:06:16 PM
The wheather here will be 80 degrees rather than 110, so we can get a whole day in.  There is still plenty of time to discuss this, and Im tired, so simply post if you are interested in Prescott rather than the BT game on this date, and if you have any empty seats for those who cant manage the ride to this great game location.
