I got mine online.  I think through Cabala's.  However, the new Sportsman's Warehouse on Yorkshire and the I-17 almost certainly will have it.  There may be a couple of their stores in Northern Cali.  If you google "Bow-Flage" it should turn up some online places to buy it.  It's not cheap, and the Bow-Flage remover WILL hurt plastic, but the paint itself won't.  In time, the paint can just be rubbed off without the remover.

For the cost of it, it seems this is ONLY for those who absolutely cannot bring themsleves to paint their baby!  22 bucks seems to be the average price for a 4 can (4.5 ounce, like model paint) set.  Then there's me who has several coats of apint on my M4.  A recent wet-sanding revealed strata that would make a geologist cry, and I think I even spotted a few fossils in the older color layers.  Either way, it's all tan now, and will stay that way.
Nick, you might just want to consider leaving it alone.  It really doesn't make any difference, as you will not be hiding out and sniping, or trying to stay hidden for prolonged periods of time.  Most of the guys have black guns, and it won't stand out of a crowd if left alone.  It seems like more trouble than its worth, unless you plan on leaving it like that for awhile, like I am.  You will never get the paint out of the little cracks.  Besides, a camo G36 might look a bit strange.
I'd just do the cloth cover thing like we discussed before (over the foregrip, and reciever).  Good luck, keep us posted!

Man, I found a place in Canada that has bowflage for like $4CN a can! That's practically free, eh?

Where might I find this elusive camo cloth?

That's a steal, there, dontcha know? You betcha.

Wal-Mart has camo burlap you could beat up a bit and wrap it.  It should work nicely.

...or you could use 3 color BDU material, or cordura.

Good call.  Check the thrift stores for some camo.

Sportsman's Warehouse does not have it.  I called about 2 weeks ago looking for it.

Where to get bowflage?
« Reply #7 on: October 21, 2003, 01:00:19 AM »
I have searched much to no avail.  Where can I get some Bowflage or any other similar removeable camo paint?

I have called: Wal-mart, big 5, sports authority, some archery supply store near my house. And no cigar. Any leads out there?

Anyone that's bought it before... please help! I need to camo my gun for RO, but I can't bring myself to use real paint.
