As an OEF veteran and someone who has experienced loss of brothers down range, I am quite disgusted that these guys pulled this sh*t off. I know these guys are just some bad apples in a tree, but examples like this are what tear the airsoft and military community apart father from one another. Don't be that guy.

Meh, there are bad fucking pretenders out there, like those guys in rainblow, and people who take this way too seriously, but, reading that article (ACTUALLY READING) <- For anyone who posts next.

It appears this one was a slow news day.

The article is deliberately inflammatory, and provides mostly an outlet for a real good hometown "Bitch'n sess'n"

The guys explained what actually happened, even apologized, and provided evidence the game was held, and participated in, by many prior/current service members.

I would love to see this game return to the days of "fun with my pellet gun" but, it does appear the new ranks have risen, and people will do whatever they want to for attention, see the rise of the "supr Mylsym" clubs we see.

imo, i dont see anything wrong with what they did. so they took a pic in front of their flag bfd. if they hadnt of said "kia pics" in their post no one would have given 2 shits that they had taken a pic in front of their flag. i see no name tapes designating real solders or anything like that. they took a pic of themselves before going to a milsim op in front of a flag, thats it. im assuming canada is a free country just like ours, which means that people have the right to do as they wish within the confines of the law right? isnt that what everyone that is in the military fights for, the right for EVERYONE to have the freedom to behave as they wish? they are emulating/ copying the real deal, not any actual people, just the procedure. there were no mil tags or sof pins or anything, just a pic in front of the flag representing the country they are from.
i have the utmost respect for those of you that have put your life on the line to protect the freedoms that i have being apart of this great country. but for ##### sake, if someone isnt misrepresenting who they are or what they have done, you aint got a damn thing to say about it. these are the freedoms that you have fought to protect.

future service man myself and i agree. they had no disrespect in play, if it did offend anyone they even posted a formal apologize to any who apply. in my eyes (remember future service member here) i see dressing up and playing soldier bad ass or "cos playing" some SF group to the T with pins medals and patches that is fine as long as you respect what they are and mean to those who truly earned it. back to this whole thing i have read that it was a photo that leaked out that was part of the milsim even they went to. to all service members out there that think this is wrong than i am sorry if this offended you in any way. i just say as long as you respect whatever you mimic it should be ok.

If you read the full story it was like a lionclaws-esque game they attended. The photos were part of the game.   This wasn't something they did on their own to be cool.

Maybe some thought it was in poor taste, but to paraphrase what was said above, "Emulation is the highest form of admiration." If they want to act like real soldiers, join the military service of their choice, been there and done that as well as others on this forum have done...

As far as KIA pictures, depending where they are they will see for themselves what KIA is first hand, its not something to brag about, it just might be your battle buddy, sure does bring instant reality to ones perception of the fragility of life been there and seen that, its not something one ever wants to remember...

For all I know, they could be really terrible people, or they could have had a simple lapse in judgement. My friend there is no need for you to apologize for anything you said, your post was OK, I was just thinking back many years and mentioned what I did, it does appear that we may need to increase our standing Army (military) in the future the way the world seems to be going and there are openings in all the military branches for qualified people... Also some great educational possibilities in todays military environment
