Thanks. I have a weird love affair with H&K, just find their ergonomics to really suit me. They're what I shoot RS, too.

Let me start out by introducing you to Mr PSG-1

He's a TM PSG-1 with a Systema FTK, PDI CNC fluted barrel, PDI CNC chamber block receiver reinforcement kit, Prometheus 550mm barrel, Nukefet

Next is the Bundeswehr sniper rifle MSG-90. Front upper receiver from a TM PSG-1, upper/lower receiver CA metal, MSG-90 stock, Cradle cnc billet gearbox, riot gears, Nukefet, etc, etc...

With a real steel Bundeswehr Zeiss Orion 80/I night vision scope:

Dealers/Techs / Nukefets, Nukefet Completes, Tactical Nukefets
« on: February 28, 2015, 05:04:23 PM »
Over 2000 sold worldwide!

www.nukefet.com

All NukeFets (Nukefet Original, Tactical Nukefet, Nukefet Complete) are hand soldered and assembled in America by an American US Army Veteran.

They are designed to be affordable, reliable, compact, and have the capability to increase your rate of fire (depending on several factors), while using premium quality parts designed to tolerate demanding builds.

NOTE: Please only use batteries rated for at least 20A discharge. The product works with
7.4v batteries(minimum), but if you are using it in a high performance AEG, please consider using an 11.1v
battery instead.
You can calculate your battery's discharge rating by taking your batteries "c" rating, and
multiplying it by your mAh rating / 1000.
For example a 20c, 1500 mAh battery would be rated for 20 x 1500 / 1000 = 30A.

Nukefet:

The NukeFet is capable of handling some of the most demanding airsoft builds imaginable! The
key to its power comes from its International Rectifier 3034 mosfet. I only used RoHS compliant
name brand components, no Chinese cheap knock offs or factory seconds. I mostly use
Panasonic, Infineon, and International Rectifier parts.

I use 16 gauge Alpha Wire primary wires and 24 gauge Alpha Wire secondary wire. This is some
of the best wire available on the market, and it isn’t cheap!

The NukeFet comes with approximately 18" of wire on the battery side, and 18" of wiring on
the drain side, 2 gold plated Lonex OEM motor connectors, a Deans Ultra style male
connector, and 4 pieces of heat shrink for the motor and battery connections.
The NukeFet now uses even thinner 16awg Alpha Wire! The OD is 1.96mm. The previous wiring
OD was 2.34mm.
Rated for 12.8v maximum.

NukeFet Complete:

The NukeFet Complete is a standard NukeFet which has been hand soldered and assembled,
and requires no soldering skills to install.

The NukeFet Complete is compatible with most v2 rear wired configurations. It was designed
and tested to work with many G3, MP5, M4, M16 configurations but should work with other
rear-wired v2 installations as well.

Please check that the following measurements are compatible with your AEG before
purchasing.

When installed, the wire measurements are (approx.) as follows:

Positive motor wiring: 4.8" (plus motor connector)
Negative motor wiring: 4.6" (plus motor connector)
Back of gearbox to mosfet: 5.7"
Back of gearbox to battery connector: 12"
Rated for 12.8v maximum.

Tactical Nukefet:

The Tactical NukeFet differs from the standard NukeFet, by being able to take even MORE abuse. The Tactical
Nukefet is rated for 20v (normal NukeFet is rated to 12.8v officially) and can tolerate an
additional 50 amps over the standard NukeFet (and all other traditional 3034 based
MOSFETs)! Want to run a 5s (18.5v) LiPo on a 700 fps 30 RPS gun? Done. Want a
Gatling cannon with a custom gearbox and run it off of a car battery? Done.
This MOSFET will tackle (almost) any AEG you can throw at it.

Comes standard with approximately 18" of 14awg (2.31mm Outer Diameter) Alpha Wire
on each side of the MOSFET, 18" of additional 14awg Alpha Wire, 4 gold plated Lonex
OEM motor connectors, a Deans Ultra style male connector, and 4 pieces of heat shrink
for the motor and battery connections.

Rated for 20v maximum.

All prices are plus $5 flat rate shipping, regardless to the # of fets you order.

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Sniper Help
« on: February 26, 2015, 11:55:01 PM »
There is no real point, other than to challenge yourself.

99% of airsoft "snipers" out there only last a year or so before burning out and selling all their guns and either quitting airsoft altogether or just trading in their sniper for an AEG/polarstar/etc.

I've run bolt-action, single shot aegs, and more recently polarstars for... 13 years now, I enjoy it, but most do not.

22
Already have several WA and WE GBBRs laying around gathering dust too, unfortunately.

STILL FOR SALE!

23
There is a bill introduced that would make it illegal to have an airsoft or any type of "imitation" firearm unless the entire gun was painted white, bright orange, bright purple, bright yellow, bright green, or bright pink.

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: What counts as a support weapon?

Also, M249's are overdone. If you want to do a support role, build a H&K HK21, a  SHRIKE, Stoner LMG, etc.

Didnt yours have a faceplate on them at four peaks?

Yea, but it'd be a lot slicker and easier to use if it was helmet mounted. That cobb mount system is a bitch to find though, was looking into just machining something that'd be visually similar.

Oh, on the subject, I just ordered a CR123a adapter for my PVS-5b's so my NVGs will be GTG with much less expensive batteries shortly!

Still trying to source a set of COBB helmet mounts for it to make it a bit easier to wield though. Would be nice to get the mount in time, but either way it'll be nice to have the gen2+ dual tube setup running.

Real Firearms / Re: Army M4 replacement program

6.5 Grendel IF you are going to keep the Ar- M4 platform- good out to 600-800yds on man sized target and plenty of penetration to get into and through stuff-
or M14 SOCOM -  with a folding stock and 4/6 X scope good enough for the grunts --done!

BUT first we have to teach "kids"  to SHOOT  well before they go to BOOT- or worse over seas

'head shoots'  mitigate the 30 shots to the chest thing -
ONE in the brain box-  then two in the chest- Over kill?NOPE - dead is dead-

I mean, I don't really mean this to be taken offensively I suppose, but you sound like someone who plays a bit too much video games and watches a few too many Army movies, and not enough real life training and trigger time.

Also, its against the Hague convention to do headshots, as they are considered to fall under "indiscriminate fire" since the miss probability is high, and a high probability miss could result in a civilian casualty, directly against the rules of war.

These are my ammo reserves that started in Jan and will last me until about summer... I have years of training under my belt, and I still would never rely solely on hoping to get head shots. Especially when you take into it elevated heart rates, less than ideal conditions, being shot at (you're only going to shoot someone who is shooting or threatening to shoot at you, right?), distance, wind, luck...

Also, the magnification scope is not necessary in the Army's view.. most engagements are within 300 yards, and you can open sight that range and a scope is an added material/maintenance cost.

Also, you'd NEVER adopt a 6.5 Grendel for military or LE use. They tend to shoot out barrels after ~5-10k rounds of ammo MAX (assuming good care of the barrel).

Usable service life for a military service military service M16 is ~10-20k, for the HK416 is 50k. They wouldn't take steps back in reliability, even if it scored points in lethality. That math isn't how Congress looks at things.

They are looking like they'll eventually adopt 6.8SPC POSSIBLY, though the 300blk is so popular these days and the fact that it requires so little retooling for mags, bolts, gas system, etc, it is the most likely contender in my book.

I doubt they'll make much if any changes to big Army anytime soon in terms of cartridge though, lack of funding an all.
