Good SALE on LiPo
« on: October 26, 2009, 01:36:06 AM »
Hobby City has a good sale going on on some 2s 2200mAh's  They will turn you about the same as a 9.6, but will last you much longer on a smaller battery.

I have a 5000mAh 2s that I love!  It lasts FOREVER and is just about the same size as a large 8.4, just a little skinnier.

It doesn't say on their site (that I can see) what type of plug it comes with on it.  Do you know off hand Polie?  I saw one guy mention Deans but he didn't say if it came with Deans or if he put them on.

well my 5k came with bullet plugs on like 10ga wire! lol I had Ron solder DEANS on for me, but it should be easier on these 2.2kmAh since they are using a smaller wire.

For the prine, I didnt care.  My 5kmAh was only about $20, shipping was responsible and fast.

This might be a dumb question. But how long will this battery shown last in my stock CA xseries m16?
Thanks
Ryan

Going off of what the rounds I have put through a heavily upgraded m249, over 11k w/o getting low voltage.  The motor it self will not turn over before it hits the critical 3.3v per cell.
I bet you could but 15k on a stock CA before you would need to worry about it. LiPo's last a LOT longer than nicad.

Ha ha ha!  Sorry, Polie, I'm really not trying to make fun of you at all, but the term "kmAh" made me laugh really hard.  I've never before seen or heard anyone refer to a metric measurement as kilo-milli-anything (x1000/1000).  Pretty funny.  From now on: it's 5Ah (amp-hours).  Thanks.   :D
