Issue with my S&T G36K
« on: November 09, 2011, 06:16:44 AM »
I am have battery trouble with my S&T G36K.  I used it about 2 months ago with a 8.4V Small Type 1600mAh battery and it worked just fine but just this last weekend I went to use it and it was firing at about half speed with the same battery.  I changed the battery and the same thing happened so I used my buddies to test that my batteries were charged and the same thing happened not only that but my gun drained his fully charged battery (according to him).  When I would go to pull the trigger I could hear the motor windup before it would start firing like their was not enough power.  So my other buddy tried his li-po in it and boom it worked just fine.  I am not sure what is wrong I think my battery is not strong enough to pull the spring in it as it shoots at 420fps with .20bbs.

I've never heard of that brand before, but if it has a motor-trim adjustment screw (usually found on the bottom of the pistol grip), you should try adjusting it.  It sounds like that's the problem.  If it was working fine and suddenly began to do this, then something must have caused it.

It could also have been caused by an increase in electrical resistance, so check your wiring to make sure there are no cuts or tears, make sure your fuse is seated correctly, and (if you are competent to remove your gearbox) check your trigger switch.

S&T is a ares, S&T used to be a development group of ares, But they broke away from ares for some Uncertin reason.

Im somthing like 99% sure its your E-switch giving out, The s&t g36's Use a E-switch like a m249, Star g36 Or Ares M4's.

Somtimes e-switches just taka poop for no reason, ask any SAW owner they'll tell ya all about them!

Azairsoftinnovations/Airsoft Custom Experts can get that straightened out for you, for like 20 bucks.
