Title: Official AA Game, June 17th, OP: Hard Bean II
Post by: Airsofter1 on June 03, 2006, 11:14:04 PM: This will be the date of the official AA game for June.

Location: Prescott AO
The meet is at the Standard/Chevron station on the west side of I-17 at Anthem Blvd (north side). Meet there at 0600hrs). Take I-17 north through Phoenix towards Flagstaff. Exit at Anthem blvd. and turn left at the offramp onto Anthem. Go over the freeway (west) and travel approx. 400 meters(yds) to the filling station. We are meeting there at 6:00 am and leaving at 6:30 sharp. If you miss the meet, continue north on I-17 and exit on the AZ69 at Cordes Junction towards Prescott. Once in Prescott proper, get onto Gurley Street and head west to Whiskey Row (on the west side of the Courthouse Plaza), turn left onto Whiskey Row and head south. The road will wind up a hill and to the west as you clear the business district. Once you top the hill, there is an independant Gas Station on the right side of the street. There may be a few people there at the gas station. If not, then turn right onto Copper Basin road. The road is paved for about 3 miles then becomes a dirt road. It is well graded and fine for passenger cars. Continue up the dirt road until you pass through a wash. After the wash, the AO is approx. 1 to 1.2 miles on the left as you make a turn to the south and start to level off. Look for the vehicles and campsite on the left side. Hope to see you there.

Tan vs. Green, ACUs and MC will be placed where needed.

For now ANSI rated shooting glasses are OK. For your info GI Sand goggles are NOT ANSI rated and are NOT approved for use in AA games.

Post by: -MAD- SARGE on June 16, 2006, 05:35:32 PM: Anzi Z87.1 which are impact rated. I bought some googles unaware at first that they were Anzi Z81.1 rated which are only rated for general use. They passed the bb test but I rather stay safe for sure and use the impact rated.

Full mags, charged gas and battery, even in my BDUs already. Now, i just need to kill another hour and a half until my ride gets here. 8)

I really just can't wait... another AA game... woohoo!

We can still use that area under normal conditions but due to the elevated fire danger status many restrictions were imposed. It was determined that we fell under air rifles and those were prohibited during the elevated fire danger. The ranger did exactly what she is supposed to do, enforce the regulations and laws of the national forest. She doesn't write the rules, just enforces them. With all the new restrictions with the fire danger we just need to take that extra step keeping in touch with them as they can change the fire danger level before game day. Unfortunately fire restictions are imposed when it is dry out there and stupid people are wanting to do stupid shit.

Anyhow I had a great time anyway, it was beautiful up there. Its nice to get out of Phoenix. Add to that Airsoft too...! It don't get much better than that. IMO 8)

The second game was pretty well done too. Tan did a really good job of covering the objectives and making it REALLY tough for green. Dang you John, I'll get you someday. ;)

Till next time guys, it was fun as always...and I'll be sure to shim my M4 DAYS before the game and not a few hours so I can get some sleep and be on time.
