Title: CA G36 trouble
Post by: AddoAduro on June 15, 2006, 09:07:24 PM
First off, I've had this same problem with this gun before.  I took it to JT with no luck, then SAD, who managed to "fix" it, although they didn't seem to know what they actually did to fix it.  I really don't want to pay to have it fixed again, so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Last time I used it (a couple weeks ago?) it worked fine.  Now, I took it out, pop the battery and a loaded mag in, pull the trigger, and I just hear a little sound, then nothing.  Pull the trigger again, nothing.  Set it to full, pull the trigger, pops one shot off, then nothing. (By "nothing", I mean it just makes that little sound)

Now, as I've made clear before, I don't know a whole lot about the internals (which I'd like to fix, but without breaking anything), but to me, it sounds like the motor works, it just can't pull the spring, or something.  (Which reminds me, I should make sure those batteries were actually charged... They should've been, but who knows?)  It's kinda hard to describe the sound, but I'd say it's sort of a "whining" noise, like it just doesn't have enough power.  And on that subject, is it possible for a fully charged battery to lose enough of it's charge in two or three weeks that it wouldn't have enough power to get one shot off?
Also, I checked the fuse, and it's fine (I even tried it without the fuse, just to see what would happen.  Which probably wasn't a brilliant idea, now that I think about it.).

So, any ideas?

perhaps the little copper connectors for the wires on the selector plate might not be touching all the way. you could pry up the stationary ones a bit so the selector plate gets better contact. similar thing happened to me.

Ok, I'll probably take it apart tomorrow and see what I can figure out.  Thanks
